Real world testing (in hot Texas summer heat) ...
Using NO air conditioning this year, when outside temperature is 103F, inside temperature is 91F;
cool drinks, little clothing, and good fans (also in attic) plus pre-cooling house for 2 hours at sunrise
is the secret to survival ... but not great comfort.

However, the extra heat causes the refrigerator extra stress, the fans do not run cost-free,
and leftover Halloween candy melted (not an important loss to a diabetic).
Bottom Line: I got to remember to cover my bottom when answering the door.
And increased perspiration leads to dehydration if I'm not careful about that.
Tip: This same testing several years ago convinced me that an inside 95F is the limit
... but only because computer equipment gets too stressed.
