That bacteria (and others), always lurking nearby ...

These stories about health-destroying bacteria suggest that having good health (including good weight, etc.)
is complementary to having a good immune system (that can help prevent progression of bacteria).

Analysis: Since 10 million beneficial microbes (if not eating apple seeds) is still significant, skipping seed consumption seems reasonable. Besides, the lactobacillus bacteria is available in other foods, like good yogurt.

woman whose child couldn't decide if he wanted a pretzel ...

Just compare it to what you receive, then "negotiate" with the delivery person if necessary ...

With the ingredients not so appealing (relative to real food), increasing sales seem to reflect customer indifference to the ingredients. "Where's the beef?" is a question answered somehow or no longer being asked (i.e., real food is unimportant to these consumers).

Or maybe, "burger" is a lifetime concept with accumulated fond memories (parties, picnics, barbecues) and as long as the memories are maintained (with the supporting extras like buns, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sauce), faux meat is still perceived as the real mooo.
