Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech ... -MOON.htmlWho knew?! (UB authors, early 1900's) ...
that meteors were flyin' all about when the earth was forming
"Many researchers believe the moon formed after Earth was hit by a planet the size of Mars billions of years ago. This is called the 'giant impact hypothesis'. The theory suggests the moon is made up of debris left over following a collision between our planet and a body around 4.5 billion years ago. The colliding body is sometimes called Theia, after the mythical Greek Titan who was the mother of Selene, the goddess of the moon."
However, current conjecture about some future meteor or asteroid hitting the earth predicts SERIOUS explosion - a planet hitting the earth might disintegrate both ... whereupon subsequent matter accumulation might create a different sphere(s). So ... the "giant impact hypothesis" seems unlikely (as hinted by UB, 57:6.7*). Perhaps, the earth and moon were created from the same debris of a much larger collision (see UB, 57:5 and "Angona System"). IMO
