 "two teenagers completely baffled by a rotary telephone"
"did not know to pick up the receiver before starting to dial" :o

Actually, picking up the receiver before dialing is not intuitive.
How did we learn that decades ago? (from someone who knew) ;)
Who first knew that? The inventor :!:

 Mounting a roll of toilet paper is still not intuitive (especially, over or under?).
Perhaps why some rolls of paper are on their end on top of the toilet. :?
(rolling off when on their side is quickly experiential)

:duh So, what's the "side" and what's the "end" :?: :!:
And how can a roll have only one side (or end) :?: :!:
And who knew to roll up paper :?: :!: (the Egyptians?)
So, the Egyptians had toilet paper! 8)
Very doubtful! (too scratchy)

 Who knew :?: :!:

The concept of "free speech" long predates the internet where local voices can now be heard (broadcast) all over the planet ... instantaneously :!: Since the concept and evolving national laws did not anticipate the internet (electronic communication), the concept of free speech must now be interpreted in light of the true intentions of these pre-electronic era perspectives ... IMO. ;)

 Case in point: When electronic audio devices can be implanted in the human head, what laws (re: freedom of speech) will limit the broadcasts that may be received when not desired? Will a "free speech" interpretation mandate that you must turn the volume down yourself on unwanted broadcasts received by your personal device?

:sunny: Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech

"Freedom of speech and expression has a long history that predates modern international human rights instruments. It is thought that ancient Athenian democratic principle of free speech may have emerged in the late 6th or early 5th century BC."

"The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office says the name appeared to be intended as a homonym for a vulgarity, and thus violates a federal law prohibiting 'scandalous' trademarks. On that basis, PTO refused to register the trademark."

 "PHUCT" would have been a better choice for this trademark, but might be denied because of a seeming Asian allusion (re: language spelling). Unfortunately, this term is already a "recursive acronym", well-earned ... apparently:

Poor misunderstood dog! Assumed that greyhounds begin their bus driver training on RVs.

 * A traumatic scene a few decades ago:

I walked past a parked car with a child standing on the seat, head outside the sunroof.
By the time I reached the restaurant's front door, people were rushing out to rescue
the child from the sunroof that had closed on his neck. Apparently, he had stepped
on the open/close button or a sibling had pushed it. He was rescued just in time :!:

About 6 months ago I read an article about bone broth and its'benefits and made a couple batches. I wish I had followed through now and continued on a regular basis to make and drink the stuff. Sounds like it is a win/win situation.
Thanks Rod for this healthy reminder!

No! Those are Tahitian oysters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahitian_pearl

"The culturing process of a Tahitian pearl involves an expert grafter, who inserts a bead made from a mollusk shell into the gonad, or reproductive organ, of the mature Pinctada margaritifera mollusk. It takes two years for an oyster to mature enough to begin producing pearls."
