I Borrowed Your Quote

Post by peacockplume »

Hi Sandy,
I borrowed your signature quote...

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi. ~
--------------------------------------------------------------------
(earlier this afternoon)
I was actually having a moment....of thinking.....how,,,just how,,,,can we make the change,,,thru this 3D of polarity,,into the Golden Age of Light,,which we are supposed to actually be in the beginning stages....

and all (well not all) the negative things that are happening,,,from my own backyard to the Far East,,,started to seem to outweigh the positive movement forward.

I felt quite helpless and almost hit hopeless,,, just considering the numbers,,,,how are the scales balancing,,,and felt there was way more of the 7 billon who are not awake yet.

(yes, I know what we as Lightworkers are doing and how it is working) it was just a moment of.......oh ,, ah,,,just plain doubt I guess...

So I started to talk it out with the Supreme Mom and Pop,,,and just let it go. Stopped thinking and feeling about it.....and went to my computer...

Saw a message on Skype from a certain someone :happy and came to the mb....

and ended up,,,well here,,,,after finding your beautiful signature quote...

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi. ~

ISN'T IT AMAZING!!! :bana: :bana: :bana: :bana: :bana: :bana: :bana:

(Who says we don't get messages !!!) (Only those who don't pay attention!!!)

sending you and all siblings,,,LOVE

((((((PP)))))) ((((((LYNN)))) LOL I am torn as both of those are so "You!"

I get the same way...sort of feel the hopelessness sink in especially when you hear so much disastrous stuff....really insensitive, mean, down right sad stuff. Can you imagine how Master Jesus must have felt at times... you know, come to think of it, the Urantia book says he did exactly what you did. He had a nice talk with His Heaven Father. LOL Hmmm There's a lesson for me, eh?... and the follow up as well... to keep my eyes wide open for the way the love and answers manifest in my life.

You just did that for me, sis. How I love and thank you!

P.S. Now I am off to get the neighbour girl's laundry off the line and my own as well. Will do it with a big ole smile on my face now.

Okay granted, it may be a silly smile. ;)

Humble pie. LOL Sounds too much like berry pie and that has my tummy growling... I am thinking healthy eating but my stomach still has other ideas... ;)

Is there anything that smells better then sun dried laundry? Well you know what I mean. I suppose chocolate will always be the best, eh? Oooh or fresh pecan rolls? yum, yum, yum!...As you can see, it isn't just me ole tummy that is the troublemaker... My mind is the "ring leader" I suspect.
Have a great Sunday... we are due for some wet weather starting on Monday and it looks like lasting the whole week. Poor timing as "my magpie chicks" will soon leave their nest. I am hoping it won't be this week as with the storms and winds I would feel better if they stayed safely in their nest a little longer. Of course, their Mommy and daddy will know just what to do. And they have proven themselves to be excellent parents so far. :finger:
Love you,
Sandy

Oh,,,you,,,,,you,,,,,good cook.....

the one that got me was the pecan,,,,but it should have been tarts or pie.

We were in pecan land about the time they were shaking the trees....pecans every where,,,and OMGoodness,,,were they EVER GOOD!!!

One hasn't had pecans until they've been bought from a vendor on the road,,the aroma,,,the flavour.....unbeatable!!!

we bought a few lbs and made pecan pies and ate them fresh,,,,,,kept in tightly sealed containers,,,,the fresness stays...heaven s(c)ent...

had a very weird night,,,,hardly slept at all....so I'm making up for it tonight...

not sure what's up for tomorrow, but Monday is our Thanksgiving and we're going out to Allan's sisters in Lake Cowichan,,,,that will be a long day.

and I think tonight our time goes back...it's early this year!

love and hugs sis,,xoxoxo

Lynn :loves :hithere ,
I sent you an e-mail a few days ago, but didn't know if I had the right address! So, you know what's really strange? Yesterday I saw a photo of pecans and thought, "I'm going to make a pecan pie for Thanksgiving." Haven't made one in years. Is this going to be another one of those food threads?

Excited to see your name on the boards!

Hi Kim,

Joyous to see you back too,,,

a food thread?? well it certainly could be if we continue on that way,,,why not?? Sandy could keep us from wavering,,,

Tomorrow (which is today for Sandy) is our Canadian Thanksgiving,,,,and we've been invited out for 2 dinners,,,one today and one tomorrow...

So I'm starting my gratitudes now,

with the first one being grateful that I have been re-connected here and with you (and all of you) again.

Dear Lynn,
I'm ready for some fall cooking! I was so busy this summer a glop of peanut butter slapped on a soft shell tortilla was dinner... I know I'm ashamed

I too am so grateful and happy to be back, like I can finally exhale. Okay so we're here! I already said "Hi," to Sarah, where's Laura and Petra and everyone else? I can't wait to post the smiley face waving and the dancing banana!

It feels like we have some work to do.

Love,
Kim

HAPPY THANKSGIVING PP!

Thanksgiving is without a doubt my favourite holiday. I love it even better then Christmas if you can imagine. It isn't so much the food...Well, I love the food! Don't get me wrong... not that you guys would as you know my eating habits of the past years so there's no fooling you. But, anyway for me it is the pureness of it. Family getting together, cooking and sharing together, gratitude... and my kids would add... football! Notice I said my kids not me. I'd still be in the kitchen cleaning up and sneaking into the candied sweet potatoes or getting a jump start on dessert. There are some advantages to being "the chief cook and bottle washer." ;)

I hope you enjoy this special day with family, PP. Sending you love and you too Kim.
xxSandy

P.S. Okay, back to food... PP what are some of your favourite Thanksgiving foods? What kind of foods do Canadians share at Thanksgiving?

Good Morning ! Hello ms plume ! It has been a while...
I just wanted to chime in, last night my lovely lady baked two nestle pecan turtle delight cookies. Before pulling them out of the oven she drizzled a small amount of the liquid peanut butter on top sprinkled with a hint of cinnamon.

every bite caused our bodies to react in delight and naturally MMMMM was the only word that could come out of our mouth's :love

Oh Eric my tummy is rumbling again. Do you think you could get me your sweetie's recipe? I adore pecans, chocolate and caramel together in any form what so ever. In fact, just a couple days ago I was thinking about the dear lady I used to work for and our fall candy making day years ago. We made dozens and dozens of turtle pecan caramel candies for the church candy sale. It was so much fun. (eating them too! :roll )
I laugh when I think of her patience with me as I cut each pecan one at a time! It's a wonder I'm still not chopping pecans for those turtles!
Love,
Sandy

Oh, Eric.....yyyyuuuummmm!

See this is why the art of home cooking must not be lost. You just can't get the same flavor or feeling from food that is fast or prepackaged. Thanksgiving is definitely our family's favorite holiday. It's the only time we can all get together during the holidays. Dave and I are the official pie makers. I really would like to include pecan this year along with the pumpkin and blueberry. The apple pie is special because we make it in a deep dish pizza pan. Yeah, it's the size of three pies.

We dress up and make the tables really beautiful with heirloom dishes, table clothes, napkins, candles and centerpieces. About five tables are lined up end to end so we can all see each other Everything is homemade, everyone contributes and then cleans up afterward(threw that in as a subliminal message). I always cook two turkeys and because I've been saving small containers for the past two months the family loads up on leftovers to take home. Often times those who live further away spend the night and we have a huge breakfast in the morning. Of course we can't eat again for about five days after that! And probably shouldn't.

We play ping pong, pool, games and Aleah sings her latest song. My oldest brother plays his harmonica and loves for us to sing Christmas carols. Musical gathering have been a mainstay in our family since as long as I can remember. It sounds pretty beautiful as many of us can sing different parts. The acoustics with the high ceilings in our new place is going to sound great!

I guess with our motley crew, feelings, food and family get all mingled together. Um, excuse me I feel the need to call my family now.

Love,
Kim

I just spent the morning talking to my parents. :) It had been a few weeks. They were filling me in on all the activities around them with the new great grandchild and my siblings and my Aunts Uncles and cousins in North Carolina.
Sadly, we're not musical...well, my little sister has some talent but it remains relatively untapped. It must be fun to share music together as you described. Kim. :sunflower: We did play games after the meal, and if you can believe it, we snack some more.  Pictionary was popular for a fair few years as we have a number who are artsy and creative and even those who were not had fun giving it a go.
At my parent's there was never a shortage of bodies for clean up detail... usually at least a half dozen and it never fails to amaze me how we could all work without direction and planning and not get in each other's way in the smallish kitchen. I think it is just that the "workers" have been doing this together for many years...It helps to that the kitchen has never changed in 50 years.

Here's to the memories of loving times and to the love shared today and the loving times yet to come!
