:hithere :love HI Clare! I haven't seen your beautiful smiling avatar in a while! Thought perhaps you were giving me a dose of my own medicine!

I couldn't survive a summer where you are! I am locked inside today with AC blowing. It's supposed to reach 102 plus humidity in the high 70's. Luckily we should be back to 'normal' by Sunday. I have a friend who lives in Kansas...now THEY have had a rough last month temperature wise!

I hope you are doing well!!!!!

Hi Guys,
I am melting, little sissy that I am, when I think about those hot temps you all are enduring over there. We are really blessed here, living along the lake as we do and next to the ocean because we rarely have nasty hot days. It's a good thing because when we do I am unbearable to live with. Areal Grouch! 116 degrees F is the hottest I've seen and it was a real fluke and thankfully short lived. It does get much hotter though in some parts of Australia.
I just got back from my long (for me anyway) walk. It was crisp and cool and I was thankful I was wearing my candy apple green knit gloves Kara gave me while in the US last visit. Today all was quiet with the one exception. There were a flock of Magpies harassing a sea eagle who seemed only mildly perturbed. I hadn't seen one of those for awhile..just a few hawks which I have chased out of the yard in a very non David Attenborough way! I'm sorry but I am such an underdog kind of person...I know predators have to eat too but if I had my way there would be escorts helping the wildebeest across crocodile infested waters... and rules in place where as baby animals are off limits. I'm really just kidding but it is hard to watch nature being...well...nature, sometimes isn't it?
Hi Clare! Like Sammy said, it is good to see your smiling face on this thread and the board again. We went to Disney world in July one year and despite loving the park, it was miserable hot waiting in the lines all day.

Thanks for the ice cream, Sammy. I'll add some caramel sauce and whipped cream too to the toppings. Yum! Hmm that reminds me I have a recipe in my former church's cookbook for homemade caramel sauce. I'll post it for all you toasty warm people over there.

This recipe was submitted by a dear sweet man named Dave Spore who is now with his wife and mother on the Mansion worlds. he provided many old and interesting recipes to this church cookbook. I think of him and many others every time I sift through its pages looking for a particular recipe.

Caramel Sauce

1 cup butter
1 16 ounce pkg. brown sugar (2 1/4 cup packed)
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

In a heavy 3 quart saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add brown sugar, Eagle Brand, and corn syrup;mix well.
Cook and stir over medium heat to soft ball stage, about 35 minutes, (CAUTION: Stir continually or it may burn or form dark brown particles in the mixture.)
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Cool; pour into a plastic or glass container and refrigerate until used.

For use, heat slightly in microwave to make it thin enough to pour over ice cream or puddings. ( a little cream or half and half can be added to thin while heating, stirring well. This is the method I prefer because the sauce stays softer on the ice cream. Dave Spore)

Stay cool everybody unless Oz then stay warm and dry! :)
Love,
Sandy Image

Hi, Everyone!
Wow, I don't get reminders of post from this thread very often anymore. Great to see your beautiful avvie Aquadeb! :hithere The heat has definately been an obstacle this past couple of weeks, but we are fortuante it doesn't usually last here too long. One of the main reasons I love living in Michigan is for the numerous lakes, espacially to us in the north. Ahh! What better relief can be had after a brutally hot day than a refreshing dip in cool waters... Oh, sorry lost myself there for a minute.

My heart goes out reading post from this thread. It's a wonderful place to come to give and receive support from the onslaught. It's been quite amazing this past year at work, we've been practicing a program specifically designed to help us through our individual relationship problems. Its called Reflective Supervision. Its not at all painless... or judgemental, but a focused observation on defining what your true problem is. It's specifically designed to get a person to identify their authentic feelings, listen to what they are telling you, then probably most difficult of all, take full responsibility for how others are treating you. My tiny little boss is a firm believer that conflict is good... I know right!!!! Already rereading this I'm thinking, "Run away! Run Away! Swallow your feelings, put on a happy face and everything will be alright." Will it really? What happens when we bury our feelings deeply in our bodies so no one else can see our pain, dis-ease runs rampant throughout our system. Maggie insists that conflict is good because without it there would be no change. For me this past year facing conflict, is simply another step in facing fear.

Each instance as I try to step back and see the broader picture, it affirms that this is all part and parcel of this amazing Correcting Time. It is time that I make the individual decision to follow the path of light, taking that first step of believing that I'm important enough to listen to my own heart, and give those around me the gift of knowing how I deserve to be treated. How can others respect me when I don't respect myself. I cannot give what I do not have.
Needless to say it's an ongoing process.

Aleah is going to sing to me while I play in my flowers. For me that's listening to my heart.
Love to all!
Kim

Hello Kim and a big ((((Hug)))) for you and that songbird, Aleah.
Your post amazingly coincides with a similar themed post by Lytske today on the board entitled "Stones Upon Your Path." http://board.1111angels.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19397 I love it when these wonderful moments of synchronicities occur giving us more reason to take special notice. I agree with your wise words, as one who is a fabulous "runner" from things deeply personal and disturbing. We are made up of infinite parts making up the whole and so I find it interesting how we often "borrow from one part" to complete the human assignment, possibly investing in another. Does that make any sense? I sometimes feel like problems occur in my own personal well being when I find myself staring at too many empty reserves...and realize, "Hey! what about me! I find I need to refill some of those "saucers" in the only way that creates lasting peaceful fulfilment. Just sitting in the energies and allowing God to smooth the rough edges and fill the individual cups to overflowing. As I say this I do realize there are some "saucers or teacups" where I say.."Wait! I want that one to remain empty! I deserve it to be empty." :( In many ways it is a way of self punishment and not at all productive and healthy to the overall well being. And so, I think you are so right that these conflicts need to be understood and we will probably be amazed with the renewed clarity with which our souls will sing. :D

How I wish I had a song bird singing to me as I plant in my garden, one like your beautiful Aleah...but maybe I do..I am simply not listening "quietly enough. ;)
Love you, sis!

Hi Sammy,
No my books are still missing but I have not given up hope of their safe return and a miracle after 6 years. This cook book is one of the few that were in the bag of books that did make it to Australia. I had two cookbooks from this old Lutheran Church. The oldest one is missing. But all in all honestly this is the one I used the most. So if you look at it this way, I am blessed to some extent. It is so easy to look at what is lost instead of what is gained isn't it? I am especially thankful that my Urantia book Concordence was among the books that made it as well. I lost a brand new Ubook...but my "rain stained and multicolored underlined old faithful" was in my carryon first trip in.

Hello my Dear Friends,

I am glad I found the time and the mood to post again. Well, I didn't post because I was not in the right mood to do it. It seems that I lost my work. There were some problems, the new client they were to give me, according to them, is in hospital, and, frankly, I don't think my boss is going to give me another assignment just one week before I go to Philippines. I am still going to Philippines, but not with the money I had planned. And in addition, when I come back, I will have to look for a new job, just in case this agency of now doesn't give me more work, which is a possibility due the climate involving the situation... Well, I am confident that this was one more learning episode and I will make sure that I learn my lesson so I can move on. Our animal nature, our instinct of survival, feels insecure in times like this, but my spirit, my soul will strenght and will go on. I noticed that a feeling of negativism wanted to take over, but I will not allow it, because I have so much proof that doesn't matter what is problem I am in, God always comes to rescue me, because, even with my limitations and mistakes, he loves me beyond measure, no more than anybody, though. His presence in our lives is the assurance that everything is going to be alright, even if things collapse around us. I see God as this Marvelous Presence inside, around, ahead, running with me in my life. Sometimes he looks at me and say, "Go ahead, i am with you". Besides, I have so much support and help. Yesterday, I was listening to a interview that George gave to BlogTalkRadio and among the many beautiful things he said, he told us that our friends midwayers are incredible intelligent whose IQs run into thousands, and yet they talk to us, in "baby language". I think that our friends midwayers see us like babies (I considere my self a child of the universe, anyway) and they don't judge us, always ready to help us, although they follow what they think is the will of God and specific directions of their superiors. I think they have a feeling what is the plan of our adjusters for us and they wouldn't help us in a manner that could interfere with that. Now I know that many of the "coincidences" in my life, that somehow anticipated my needs were, in fact, the work of my friends midwayers. I also cannot forget the support that I have from you, my friends, in this board and from the 1111 Progress Group. How cool, is to wake up and open the computer and see these loving posts of you, to everybody. In here is such a special invironment. And how cool to open my email inbox and see that I have a message from the Christ Michael in person, Monjoroonson, Machiaventa or other celestial. That is cool beyond words! So, now, I will get ready to go to Philippines, enjoy my 20 days there and come back to resume my life in the States. If I could I would stay in Philippines, but I can't, so, I will have to come back here. Everything is gonna be alright.

Love,

Jose.

:love HI Jose!

Your faith is utterly inspiring!!!!! If you don't mind, I would like to add your to my prayers...I pray that you are ALWAYS surrounded by God's comfort and love and that you are able to clearly discern his will! I pray you find meaningful employment that aids you in financial comfort so you can remain focused on your loving goals and God's will!

Jose, I just have to tell you!!! - I went to church last Sunday, we had a guest speaker (occasionally we have guest Priests from other countries, usually in dire situations, requesting our parish to help them financially)...Father Nestor Watin...from......Romblon Philippines!!!!! Well, I could not help myself but think of you the entire mass! Talk about inspiring faith! This Priest glowed love. I could literally see energy emitting from him...like his aura (which I've only seen a few times in the past when I REALLY concentrating)...I could see his with no effort whatsoever! A man from such a difficult situation with such amazing faith. The Priests who "run" our parish do not glow this way...they act like it is just another job...routine, going through the motions - Fr. Watin, however, was tangibly practicing and sharing his faith! He was amazing to watch, listen to, and feel!

You have a WONDERFUL trip to your homeland! I'll be praying for you in many ways!

LOVE!!!!

Hello Everybody,
Jose, your trip is drawing near and soon you will be on your way. I sort of see you like Sammy described the visiting priest from the Phillipines so full with love that you too must glow with love. As it is, your words do the work of the physical and color our lives and hearts with inspiration. I know you will be guided loved and cared for as you travel to the Philippines. I look forward though to your return to the board family and hearing all about your experiences while away.
I join Sammy in prayer for your safe return!

Hello, my friends,
It’s 10:30 in the morning, here in the beautiful division, with a beautiful name, Providence, where my son lives. I asked him that I could stay here before my trip. I live alone (not really) and didn’t want to stay alone (not really) in my little room all these days before my trip. It is also good for them for I will babysit my grandson (who is just lovely), being, then, a pleasure for me. I will go to Philippines on this coming August 8th, 8pm, From Chicago to Los Angeles, to Seoul, to Manila, to Bacolod to Sibucao and finally to my destination, Ice Plant. I will arrive at my destination on the 10th, 3pm, almost two days later, discounting 13 hours of time difference.
Sandy and Sammy thank you for your prayers. There will be a warming reception to me when I arrive in Ice Plant especially by the church I started there. I love them and I feel their love back to me. I am bringing gifts for the children, Bibles for the adults, and some individual gifts, as for example, cell phones for two people, a brand-new laptop I bought for Pastor Nonoy, the pastor to whom I transferred the church when I left. Besides the things I am bringing, I already sent them by sea a box with CPUs, printer and clothes. They are very excited with my coming and I am very excited with my going there. One of the reasons I don’t have all the money I planned to, besides being pulled off from my work, is that I was busy buying them gifts, before going. I also was planning to fix the church’s roof that is now damaged, but I think I will have to send money for it in another occasion.

My daughter-in-law is in the Pastor Searching Committee for the Presbyterian Church (my denomination) where they attend. She mentioned the possibility of I be applying for the position. As much as I would like to, I came to the conclusion that I can’t, for wouldn’t be fair for the church that would have I pastor with viewpoints considerably different from the majority of them. I think that, although I consider myself a pastor, hardly I will be in a church pastor position again, except if as missionary, starting new communities.

So… it’s good starting my day talking to you my friends… I wish all a great day or night, and much good energies from the Universe.

God bless,

Love,

Jose

Hi Everyone,
Jose that is quite some series of flights. I find on my "every few years trip" home to see my family that I get so excited as I board that last flight. It is such a satisfying feeling to know that soon I will be seeing those I love and miss. I have traveled through Chicago's Ohara airport. The last time I was directed to a diffeent area since I was flying United for the first time. I have to admit, until that moment I never realized all I had been told about how huge this famous airport is! I got a tad lost but found myself in the end and in the process passed by some of the most fabulous popcorn stands I have ever seen! Oh wow did it smell good! On one end I had popcorn and on the other cinnabuns! :bana: I love to travel if for no other reason but for the food!

You are a very kind hearted man to give so unselfishly to those in need as you are to your former church. I suspect you will be blessed many times over for your caring and generosity.

I finally got the marmalade made I have been contemplating for two weeks. It really wasn't too difficult even fun. I am not sure the finished product is what it should be. It is very stiff...Still spreads but I don't think marmalade is supposed to be this thick. Well I won't be entered on any Master Chef contestsbut it is sweet and yummy enough for all of us. :)
Have a happy day or night everybody! :sunflower:

Sandy

Sandy - maybe you've invented something new...Candy Marmalade! (Now I have the song Lady Marmalade playing in my head along with an image of your dancing smileys!)

OH! It is a BEAUTIFUL day here. The morning air is just a touch crisp, very welcomed after the humid days of summer. (Now remind me I said this in about 4 months when I start complaining about winter!)

I don't know who came to visit me last night, but I am feeling PUMPED full of love again! I have a silly grin pasted to my face. ((((((((((( LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!)))))))))))

Hallo Everyone! I wish all a wonderful happy day and night~

Jose, I wish you happy travel preparations! Seeing how you described the box of gifts shipped over reminds me of how my parents prepared time and time again these big boxes that go on the ships and get to our relatives and friends weeks and weeks later, with stuff that is too expensive for them to buy in the Philippines but for my parents it is a trifle cheaper over here anyway. Also, clothes and items we have outgrown go into those boxes, and we hope that the children and other members can use them, giving the items a second chance that way. Plus, I imagine that they send these boxes to let them know that they are thinking of them and love them.

I just wanted to share that I found a new recipe that I will have to try and modify anyway since I'm missing some ingredients...(like most of the time :D :D ) For example, it calls for pork and since my husband and I don't feel comfortable cooking pork in our home yet (or maybe even at all, considering we're talking about modifying our lifestyle about food), we will be using tri-tip steak. I also am going to be learning how to make herb blends, since it calls for a Creole spice blend and I don't have that exactly but I have all of the components! Sandy, I never got to bake what I wanted the other day, but I've got to try sometime, so whenever I do, I'll definitely be reporting my progress! Besides, when I did want to bake, I was looking for my box of kosher salt (I bought a box that weighed 3lbs!) and it turns out I left it at our friends' home down the road. When I had the chances to take the box back home, I kept forgetting it! So, hopefully today, I will get it back...after about three attempts to bring it back already, that is.

Sammy, did you see your visitor? Sounds intriguing!

Love,
Theunim

Hello my friends,
I am here seen you all sharing your recipes, and I thought to myself, “Probably they think that I, being a guy, have no recipes to share… Well, I will prove them wrong”. So, sometimes I adventure to the kitchen and some years ago, I came up with this dish that I call “Sausage-Stuffed Chicken Thighs”. I never put it on written, but I did now so I could share it with you.
The recipe goes below, if you don’t understand something, ask me and I will do my best to explain. If you try it, I hope you like it. After try it, if you want to make suggestions, I will be glad to have them.
I think that Italian Sausage and Chicken make a great combination.
Sausage-Stuffed Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
1 chicken thigh for each people.
1 mildly spiced (at your flavor) Italian sausage for each thigh.
1 medium onion for each 3 thighs,
1 green pepper for 2-4 thighs
1/2 broccoli branch
1 medium to large tomato
½ pound of old bread (or even new)
Catchup
Salt
Spices
Preparation:
Chop the tomatoes in little pieces, the onions into rings, the green peppers into rectangles, the broccoli into little bushes.

In a container mix water and ketchup enough to fill up little less than half the container you are planning to cook the thighs. Mix them until they get a good red color.

If the chicken thighs are frozen, let them unfreeze, but not totally, only until is cold but still firm, so it will be proper for the bone extraction.
With a small, narrow and pointy knife, go and carefully detach the meat from around the bone starting from the thicker end of each thigh. Do it on the inside, keeping the external of each thigh intact. Do not cut the ends, just go detaching the meat. When you feel that the meat is all detached from around the bone that you can insert your finger and slide it all around, starting from the thicker end, uncover the bone, turning the meat inside-out towards the narrow end the farthest you can. The meat will be still attached to the narrow end when the meat is all turned inside out. With care, cut the meat around the narrow end over the cartilage to make the best of the whole piece. When you separate the two parts (meat and bone) put the meat in the inside position again, having in your hands the whole thigh, but without the bone.
Cut the ends of each sausage to 1/8 of inch less than the long-size of each thigh respectively. With a fork, make width holes on the sausage with ½ in intervals. Insert each sausage into its corresponding tight, as if replacing the bone. It will be a fatter thigh.

Orderly place the thighs pieces in a rectangle Pyrex about 2 inches deep and large enough to accommodate all the pieces you prepared with 1/8 in of space in between them and ¾ from the longitudinal ends.

Place the slices of bread all around the thighs, then the tomatoes slices over the bread, the chopped green pepper, the ring-cut onions, and finally the broccoli. You can add carrots if you want, but I recommend you to wash them well and to boil them first in a separate container and wash them in clean water again afterwards, to take of the weird taste that it leaves in all food if you don’t do this.

Fill the Pyrex container with the water mixed with catchup, ¾ of a inch high, making sure it will cover the bread, the tomatoes and the onions. Part of the broccoli may stay afloat.

Squirt catchup on the each thigh, and with a brush, spread the catchup on their tops.
Spread salt and spices to taste.
Cover tight with aluminum foil.

Cooking

1 Pre-heat the stove at 400 degrees
2. Cook covered at 450 degrees for 40 minutes.

3. After 40 minutes, uncover, and cook uncovered for another 20 minutes (more or less as necessary), checking the food each 7 or so minutes as for the juicy (do not let it dry) color on the tights (golden), on sides, where it doesn’t have ketchup and it is not submersed . Do not allow it to be overcooked.

Serving
Bring it to table directly from the stove, and serve it accompanied with rice or smashed potatoes and wine rosé.

Variation

Replace the broccoli, green peppers and onions with:

Pineapple, cantaloupes (and/or apples) and peaches (not pre-cooked).

Spread little salt only on thigh pieces, before spreading catchup

Do not use catchup mixed water, use chicken broth or chicken-flavored tablets melted in enough water.

Do not use spices.

Other Variations:

You may use turkey thighs or big-hen thighs if you want to make sure that one piece will satisfy each of your guests.

Hi everybody,
After a battle with my printer, I just finished copying that recipe you posted, Jose. Truly a Godsend because I have some thighs in the freezer right now and just a few days ago I was wondering what I could do with them. I don't eat meat but I fix it for George's dinner and I like to surprise him with new dishes every once in awhile. My parents used to make something they called scalloped tomatoes in the winter months using the tomatoes they home canned during their summer garden surplus. That recipe used some of the same ingredients that you used around the thighs in your recipe, the bread onions and green peppers. So I can almost imagine the taste. I look forward to trying this one. Thank you Jose! Speaking of supper, it is 6:33 pm and I haven't even thought about what to fix. Better get craken! :)
Love,
Sandy

Hi All,

Thank you Sandy. Yes, my trip to Philippines is so close now. I am sure that I will have great time there. I am so glad I have this opportunity. I am praying and asking help of our friends in the Midwayer Realm to check on me often, because problems are always lurking in some place. My prayer request is for me not panic in case of some problem and not forget things behind, as this is a problem (forgetfulness) that I have since child and is worsin now with age. I forget things because I get distracted with others. So, I have always before leaving a place remind myself to look if I don't forgot anything. I will be able to read the board even when I am Philippines, as I will have access to Internet, and if I have time, I will share what is going on.
Now I am preparing to go to church (two of them) and them to place, and tomorrow about 2pm I will be leaving from home and 8:15 from O'hare Airport to Los Angeles.
I appreciate and thank you all for your prayers. God bless you all for the support you dispense to everybody here. This is a marvelous place.

Love,

Jose.

Hi Everyone! :hithere :hithere

I'm on late so it'll be brief. Tomorrow we're having pizza night...so in honor of that, I bring to the International Coffee House some homemade pizza! I'll keep it basic with the cheese topping but you can all add or subtract with your choice of toppings. :loves :loves I might finally get to make those brownies. Here, I have them already, all nice and fudgy...hehehe. ;)

Jose, I hope you arrived in the Philippines without any travel problems! I throw in my love and happiness for you into that suitcase lovingly prepared by Sammy and Sandy and everyone else in the family. :love I'm sure everyone's happy to see you there! I know that when my family and I arrived there back in 2009 for the first time in a couple of decades (more or less for my father and myself, but my mother was about just one decade since her last visit), everyone was joyful and had to party, party, party! (Every decent chance there was, what with the rain and all...one party WAS held in the rain. :bana: ) So, I imagine that you're celebrating everywhere you go!

Sammy, I couldn't remember the thread you posted about your trials with the animal shelter before, so I'm posting it up here, since we all drop by sometime or another anyway. ;) How goes that situation? Did you make the decision to leave the position, or are you still there working with the other person who is like-minded? Either way, I hope you have peace and comfort as you go through whatever you choose to do. :loves Also, saw another 888 on a license plate around town, but this time it was Y888...who cares?! It was still 888!

Love to everyone!

T!!!! Looks like the 8's have it! COOL! 8) ...funny..."Y" 888 - it's like a question ;)

Yes, T, I did make a decision a couple of weeks ago. I resigned, and I feel really good about the decision, I feel like an elephant has been lifted from my soul!

Ooooo! Pizza sounds good. I'm bringing Gahhhh-lic and bacon! How about some nice deep fried potato skins to snack on while we wait for the pizza to cook? And for those who partake, I've got some lovely pink lemonade and gray goose vodka cocktails. (I'll have to wait a while though....I haven't finished my coffee yet  )

Jose - I hope your trip is going wonderfully!

LOVE!!!!

PIZZA!!! Now that's what I've been wanting...with plenty of cheese, baby spinach, onions, green pepper and mushroom! Thanks T! I just had a white cupcake with pink icing and sprinkles though so I had best wait a bit or at least walk some more before sampling one of your fudgey brownies! Yum...
Sammy, I'll have some of your pink lemonade too since its still early here and the gray goose vodka cocktail will probably put me right to sleep.

I saw an 888 license plate yesterday too, T. That's one I almost never see.

Thinking of you Jose and hoping you are enjoying the time with your good friends over there and from what our T said, staying dry.
Have a great week end everybody. :hithere

Hallo Everyone!~

I say, 888 has been an unusual presence of prompting in the past couple of weeks for us on the board, then! (Sammy, it's funny, it is like a question as Y888!) I know things are "afoot" though, because I've been having some dreams and a couple of meditative experiences that made me feel MUCH more different than before. I feel like that my soul's been progressing in the background, even if I didn't have a chance to sit down in meditation lately. :)

The pizza was good, we had a mishap of the first one and turned it into a calzone that bled all over the pizza stone. It was with fresh mozzarella, grated parmesan, tomato sauce and pepperoni. The second and third pizzas came out much more normal, but not circular. The second had basil and grilled sausage pieces that were flavored with pepperjack cheese and habanero peppers already, so the flavor combinations were very tasty! The third had pepperoni (all of us are fans of the food), pineapple, mushroom, and the other cheeses I've mentioned already, but piled on well. Some slices fell apart way too easily because of the way they were loaded with the toppings but all of it was tasty and flavorful!

Sandy, your pizza version sounds GREAT, too! We did not have spinach but the basil I had was fresh from the plants I'm growing, so the leaves were green and one of our friends commented it resembled spinach at a glance. Yummmssss.

Still did not get to make those brownies. It was probably a good thing. Everyone was full from the pizza and beer. But we went to visit our friends in the next town last night and they made brownies from the box...still very good! It was the cheesecake swirl version of Pillsbury. When I DO make those brownies I've been having in mind, I will post up pictures. I should also post up pictures of the plants, but I've yet to do any picture taking of them, too. One thing at a time....

I'll take a cocktail over here in the meantime, Sammy... ;) I'm very happy to hear you resigned and feel lighter about it. I'm sorry if I missed out your posting about it in another thread, if you did...I feel like there's been a lot more activity on the board that I'm missing out on because all I do at times is click to see if there are new posts and read from there  Then I don't reply until later, if I even remember, because my phone browser is not to be trusted. For example, it's closed on me while I was writing a very long message at one point and I didn't save the draft at all! :?

Anyway, have a lovely day and night, wherever everyone is right now and will be. Love to you all! Deep fried potato skins...here I come.... 8)

Love,
Theunim

T!!!! Accidental Calzones sound great!

There is nothing worse (well, maybe a few things...) than when you are typing a LONG post and everything goes kapooey! Somewhere along the line I've turned into an old lady and very much dislike learning new technology...luckily the internet came along before I turned into a fuddy duddy. My husband had been pestering me a bit to get a new cell phone. (Mine was about 5 years old, which I guess in the phone world is ancient.) I finally relented and we got me a "droid" (? is that the right term??? :baby ) UG that thing causes me MORE stress! For instance the time we were headed back home from my in-laws house (about a 2 hour drive), we decided to pick up Domino's pizza on the way, so I got on my phone and did a google search for the nearest domino's...tried calling by touching the phone number but my phone kept disconnecting...so I tried to order on line and kept hitting the wrong buttons...we arrived at Domino's before I could place the order using the dang phone!   Anyway, I was going to say that when we went camping a couple weeks ago I wanted to send messages to the board via my "droid" (phone) and kept losing everything I typed. (Wow, I sure can make a short story long!)

Glad your pizzas were DELISH!

I have to run and scan about 60 pages...FUN FUN FUN!

LOVE!!!!

Hello dear friends,

Oh T, you brought me back to the days when I had a kitchen herb garden just behind my kitchen window. The wind would blow them to and fro and the smell especially of the sweet basil was heavenly. I haven't done as well with my herbs in this climate and as I speak I am currently killing some once lovely little lemon balm plants...But the funny thing is, when I don't try I do well... For instance this morning I noticed a tiny little parsley plant had seeded itself in the crack of the drive way. I was going to try to remove it but George said let it go. Our landlord will like that..me gathering parsley from the middle of the drive...Nope, eventually and sooner better than later it will have to find a new home.

I found a recipe for fake strawberry jam. Yes you heard me right. It calls for rubbarb which we have plenty of and it is accented with straweberry jello. I am trying to figure out if I am brave enough to make it using splenda instead of sugar which of course is not good for us.

Sammy, I hear you! I even have trouble with the simple cell phones as Geoff can atest too. I'm glad you brought that up because I haven't even looked at our phone in a couple months and it probably need a good charge. Hmm now that I think about it I'm not sure where I've put it????
I think the info would fall into place if we used it more but there is no need so I forget the ins and outs of working the teeny tiny little thing. I do remember my first cell phone. It weighed a ton and it was way bigger than my hand! Times have certainly changed!

Hello Jose..thinking of you today and sending love!
Okay better go...
Love you guys,
Sandy
