111 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius is 44.

It's so hot my garden became dry and crispy because I was not home to water it in the morning. It was like being in the desert but with humidity.

(I found out it was 111 degrees when my clock read 5:55, which would have been around 10:00 pm.)

Whew! That's a 111 prompt I could do without. I had heard it had been very hot in some places in the US but I had no idea it was getting that warm. Looks like the Midwayers took advantage of the temps though. Gosh, I'm sorry about your garden. From what we saw of the photos you posted it was lovely. Is there any way it will recover?

Yeah 44c is hot, but if it was 44c at 10pm, that's nearly insanely hot.

It has been a shock to me.
The 111F/44C was a new discovery for me too. (These are like Death Valley temperatures in California... but I am not in California or a desert.)
I remember being in Death Valley in 1984. It was so hot that you could literally fry an egg on the sidewalk. The asphalt parking lot was sticky and soft under my tennis shoes.

It cooled down to 105 today

This is a link to photos of the 1930's dust bowl in the Midwest.
http://www.weru.ksu.edu/new_weru/multim ... lpics.html
My great grandfather was crushed to death between to Model T cars on the side of a highway during a dust storm.
In the past few weeks there have been stories about a second dust bowl because of the fires and drought in the Midwest. There is nothing for cattle to graze on, and the wheat will not grow... and there seems to be little notice of this other than a local story in the newspaper. There was a 7.1 earthquake in Japan, but I heard about that though word-of-mouth because the news stations don't seem to be reporting these things.
It's supposed to rain by Wednesday, but that is here and not out where the Dust Bowl part 2 is starting.

I don't know if you guys are experiencing things like this "Down Under," but it's happening where I am.

So here's my garden update. I lost most of my bean and pea vines. The cucumbers still might make it. All my plants have dried leaves as if they had been cut down and left to dry for a few days. (They are light dust brown color and crackle like old dead dry leaves.) So now instead of a plush garden I have a more withdrawn garden and the plants look as if they tightened up and lost their foliage. The tomatoes and bell peppers are small and the production is stymied by the heat.

So other than that, how is everybody doing?

Other thoughts.

I was reading the intro to the meaning of the 11:11 time prompts and broke out my rusty math skills... If 75,000,000 million people are receiving the 11:11 reminder... (about 7,000,000,000 people in world) one out of every 92.3333333 people are being signaled... I suppose that there are a lot of people who will not see it, or make the connection so that COULD increase the number to 1:100 (Or how about 1:111?)

I wonder what the success rate of 75 million people identifying and acting on the 11:11 reminder. (I'm up and my mind is wandering.)

Hey Flint,

I find it interesting that my Dad and I were just talking about the dust bowl yesterday. Living in a bit of a bubble over here I had not heard of the weather extremes other than what is affecting my family in Tennessee and to a lesser extent, in Ohio. They have had storms and some tornado warnings from the heat and humidity nearly daily. but I don't think it is as hot as what you have been experiencing there in Kansas.

Gosh I hate to think of your garden suffering so. :( I love all these green and growing things. I have only experienced prolong temperature extremes (heat) once in my life...in 1980...it was so hot that summer and we were without home and living in a pop up camper while my ex trained for a job near Nashville. It didn't help that I was also 5 months expectant with my first born. :) I was not a happy camper as you can imagine.
We experienced temps around 116 here on New Years Day ...I believe in 2006. It came out of the north and the wind was blowing like a convection oven. Some of the tropical bushes growing in the yard still show that day's damage, sort of like a botanical time capsule. But the bush as a whole recovered nicely eventually putting on new leaves when temps moderated and life went on. Seems nature has learned to adapt in many ways to the earth's changing faces... Its harder for us humans somehow.
I hope those Wednesday rains cool you guys down a bit. :finger: Hang in there.

Love,
Sandy

Hi Flint,

I hope your weather gets better over there and that your plants get better. :( Last week here in the Mojave area (where I live) we had temps in the lower 100s, but now this week we're getting cooler with our temps being in the 80s...kind of weird. Plus, I recently read the weather's been bringing much-needed rains to the point where the reservoirs are almost 100% capacity, or close to it, and the areas that are serviced by such reservoirs are making plans to make sure this water is used wisely. I am mildly concerned about how the weather is abnormal for the time of year here, but at the same time relieved that the area is getting over past droughts and the like.

Sandy, I'm hoping your family don't get affected adversely by the weather in Ohio and Tennessee. It's also interesting you mention that you and your father were talking about the Dust Bowl because on Friday, when we were passing through Bakersfield, we saw signs about water usage keeping jobs alive on the farm, and they used the term, Dust Bowl, to describe their state of being in that area with their farms. Then yesterday, I was trying to think of the states that had been affected by the Dust Bowl decades ago and no one could let me know because we just couldn't remember, but I had been specifically wondering if Northern California or the like had been affected by the weather patterns of the decades past to bring about the same type of Dust Bowl I was thinking of...

Synchronized thoughts! :sunflower:

It's raining & 76 degrees outside and now I feel like I am freezing. I thought we were going to have a tornado because the temperature dropped from 100 to 80 in a 10 to 20 minutes. We have been lucky not to have one of this this year.

The garden took a major hit, but most of the plants will pull though it. I had to pull some fruits because of the damage to them. I figure that it will just give the plants a chance to recover too. I am hoping that the plants that survive will just be stronger plants. It's kind of a frustrating feeling.

...(Theunim.)The Dust Bowl was in the Midwest in the 1930's. A lot of farmers plowed and cleared ALL of the trees off the farms and so there were no wind breaks to slow the wind down from the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. All it took was a few years of drought and fires, and the winds would kick up dust that would blow hard enough to sand blast the paint off your car. From Texas to Nebraska a giant dust cloud turned day into night (Dust cloud thick enough to block out the sun.) They made a movie about it called the Grapes of Wrath (You can probably watch it on HULU.) Anyway, it is a day called Black Sunday where the dust cloud was so big (1000 miles long) it could be seen in Washington DC... and when it blacked out the sun in DC, everybody decided to do something about the Dust Bowl.

For the past few days I have been getting a lot of number combinations. One of my new discoveries today was that when it is 11:11 on my clock that needs to be reset, it is 3:33 in the kitchen.

A lot of times I get my :11 :22 :33 :44 :55 or 4:44 etc... I have thoughts about opening a business that involves a lot of people in my city. I will build or construct the ideas/thinking about the ideas and then I see a clock and every time and 11:11...

There is a guy with jet black hair in my Library who looks olive skinned... It's hard to be sure my elevator stopped and I lost my concentration. I still have orange walls though and the elevator has stainless steel doors.

Hi Flint,
After the temps you have been experiencing a bet 76 does feel like cold. I hope the worst of the severe storms continue to steer clear of your home. :finger: I understand your frustration with the garden. I am experiencing a little myself but necessisarily from a weather standpoint as to a soil standpoint. It is obvious my soil needs some help in my raised beds and I suppose it is my job to figure it out if I want for it to function at its best. It really makes me appreciate the farmers who grow the food for a living!
Hi T, my parents have had a lot of severe storms and even one small F1 tornado. They haven't lost their sense of humor though despite and maybe even because of all the time the three of them (Mitzi the dog joins them) have spent together weathering out the storms in the bathtub. (They don't have a basement) maybe there is some strange bonding going on. :)

Isn't the information Flint provided about the dust bowl interesting? I had no idea it was that big and bad. Shows how quickly we can mess up this world if we are not careful! :(
Love,
Sandy

Hello all - My name is Melissa and I found your message board last night after seeing 11:11 twice in the same day. It's been happening to me a lot. It doesn't scare me, but last night it got to the point where I had to stop what I was doing a start doing some research. I found this site and several more. My gosh... I had no idea what I was experancing was so common, but I am glad to know a little more about it now. I will continue to research, but can someone tell me why it just started happening to now? It's been going on for about 6 months, or so and getting more and more frequent in the past several weeks.

Thank you for your help,

Melissa

Hello Melissa!

It's nice to meet you! :hithere

I honestly cannot tell you why the 11:11 is happening now, the past six months and why say it didn't start a year ago or even two years ago for you. It could have something to do with what is going on in your life...any changes, any new investigations any leanings, the people etc... The Angels and Midwayers who are responsible for the prompts that in themselves are a wake up call, a form of reaching out to their human cousins, see something in you of great value to their God given task of lightening and spiritizing our world.

Here are a few threads that begin a basic understanding of the prompts, that becomes ever deeper and more fullfilling the more time effort we spend in meditative contemplation of some sort of things of spirit.
