Hi all... :hithere

Sandy you mentioned on another thread that you are slowing down on the coffee :bike: Maybe that has a bit to do with the tiredness...I am a caffein fiend myself... :bana:

Mum and I are looking forward to our trip...we have done it many times and spread it over three days...we have our favourite pitt stops plus two nights in motels...very naughty but we sneak Poppy inside my handbag...shes tiny and very quiet...I sneak out late at night for a quick walk with her and then we are back on the road at sunrise :D

Lots of love to al :loves

Hi Anne and everybody,

You know, spreading that long trip out over three days would make it most enjoyable. It sounds like a fun time for you and your mum...and of course little poppy. He sounds like a real cutie...what kind of dog is he?
I would love to travel into Queensland some day. When I still lived in Ohio I used to dream of coming to Australia and some day visiting the Australia Zoo. (I was a big fan of Steve Irwin and his 'Crocodile Hunter' nature series. He inspired me to be the "go to girl" who could easily remove to a safe place any snake too close to the house. ( Now you gotta remember in my old neck of the woods there were very few poisonous snakes. )

I am having a cup of Rooibos tea now. It's not bad and naturally caffine free too...which is always a good thing! :thumright:

Love,
Sandy

Speaking of tea, just yesterday I spent over $80 on tea online(some of it will be for Christmas presents). I've heard rave reviews for a website called mightyleaf.com so I decided to check it out and went a little overboard. Lately I've become a tea fanatic so I have a feeling I'll be happy with my purchase. I used to be a coffee addict myself, I loved those sugary coffee drinks such as caramel machiato and cafe mocha. I can't drink them anymore because they get me wired for a few hours then leave me with a slight depressed feeling. Not sure why it happens, I can drink tea and soda without the same effect. Anyway, I just decide to stay away from them, they taste good but I can live without them.

You know what I love about tea, Clarity? There are soooo many different kinds. :D ... something for every mood! Seems the variety is half the fun as you discovered on that website you posted. It is almost 1:30 am and so I am soon off to shower and bed, but I want to take a look at it tomorrow.

I had similar symptoms as you when I used to drink cappacinos. (forgive my spelling...it's late! That's my story and I'm sticking with it! ;)

Okay I am off to bed. Good night my friend and everybody. Image

I love my morning coffee, but then I switch to tea. Today, I'm drinking Lemon Lift. It's so delicious and very comforting. Sometimes, it's these very simple pleasures that make life wonderful.

Hello Lovelies,,, (that sp looks weird)

yes I agree with the tea timers,,,I must have at least a doz boxes of herbal teas and I'm slowly weaning off the coffee..

I like to make a mixture though,,,,hmmm...one of this,,,,two of this,,,one of this,,,hmmm

I never drank coffee till one time that we went camping,,,waaaaay out in the wilderness..

the first morning,,,,I couldn't find my teabags,,,I walked all over the campsite asking if anyone had tea.....nope,,,,not to be found...

and the 40 or more km to civilization was out of the question.....so my choice was coffee or beer...

and I should have chosen the beer,,,I've been addicted to coffee ever since.

but I'm winding my way back to reg tea and green tea,, and my favourite herbals :sunflower:

loves to all,, pp

Hi PP,
Hows the house selling going? Any good leads or good news yet? :finger: Been thinking about Laura too and wondering how she's doing. I hope by now her pain is easing a bit. I just found out today my eldest sister broke her leg while hiking at a state park. She loves to hike alone, just her and nature and this time things did not go so well. She has a spiral fracture (whatever that is) and because she walked on it the one and a half miles back to her car the bones were separated a bit and so they placed a plate against the bones to hold them together. Dad said she had surgery earlier today and is home if you can imagine... poor thing. The prognosis is very good though and is not nearly as serious as Our Laura's shattered leg.
Hi Clare I haven't tried lemon lift...sounds good! Anything lemony has always appealed to me. There's just something about that sweet/tart taste. (shoot! in reality right now with that sentence I am thinking about these yummy awful things I used to make with cream cheese and lemon cake mix and frosting. They were called easy cheesy lemon bars. (One of those recipes I am trying to strike from my drooly little mind!) I too can eat healthy! I too can eat healthy! I too can eat healthy! ( It's not working ;) )
Love,

Once again, I'm bringing this tread up because I love it so much! I really feel good this holiday season. Yes, I'm poor as a church mouse. Yes, I have some "problems" with my teenagers....BUT, I have my wonderful online "family" to be so grateful for and feel so positive when I come here to read everyone's words of wisdom. Love!!!!!

Helloooo :hithere

Seems like we got through the holidays, and not only the New Year, but now we're in the celebrations of the Chinese New Year..."The Year of the Rabbit" and they'll be celebrating for 2 weeks.

So don't put away the party stuff yet.....then there's Valentines, then St Patty's Day and roll right into Easter....Mother's Day in May, Father's day in June.....and countries birthdays in July.....Canada on the 1st, the US on the 4th,,,,so if there's any others, pleaser mention them.

I think we'll be partying all year! :bana: sounds good to me....offset the doom and gloomers with riotous happiness!

We still have our dream of selling and going travelling....but the holidays put a slow down on buyers....things are starting ton pick up again, so hopefully we'll be on our way by spring. :bike:

hope everyone is doing well,,,

love and blessings...pp

Hi PP,
Spring sounds good doesn't it?... :D It won't be long now, huh? Have you had a snowy winter? We've just gone through one of the longest heat waves on record. Saw it briefly on the news last night...5 or 6 days of average 40 c weather. Makes for a cranky week I must say. George and I walked to the post Office yesterday and it felt as if we were in a convection oven. On a bright note though..(there's always a bright side some where... ) The grass has finally slowed down a bit and so I have a little breather before rallying those weak little muscles of mine for the needed task! :bana:

How is Laura doing? Is her leg mending as we all hope. :finger: With a break of this nature, I have a feeling it will take a while and then a bit of work to get the muscles working as they once did. George went through that with his horrific leg injury... Yet it did mend strengthen and become even stronger then it was before with all that reinforced bone screws and the like. hmmm in retrospec, truly it was the bginnings of a total life redirection for him although he did not recognize it as such at a time. It was an awful thing but it has led to all of you... so I say he's a winner! :sunflower:

Love you,

my sentiments exactly!!! kind of makes me wonder what wonderful surprises will be coming Laura's way. It is very difficult for her to look beyond each day, although today she said she was hanging her purse off her knee while she was doing exercises (very light ones), and yes, she actually did over do it.

So we have a few things in common (overdoing it) to yak about. Heaven only knows what we talk about, but we can burn the wires for a good couple of hrs each day. Robert has just started a job just outside of Louisiana (sp doesn't look right.) so he's away again for about 3 wks before some time home. I think that took her a couple of days to adjust to....she is with wonderful people though...very caring, and she is able to help her sister-in-law a bit too.....She needs to have both knees replaced....and Laura in a wheelchair/walker....we laughed saying it was like the case of the blind leading the blind.

We've been watching the news too, and it's just unreal how bad Queensland is being pounded....Bless their hearts...

and you are in the frying pan!!!!

since the only snow storm we had back in Nov or early Dec.....we haven't had another....meanwhile it seems that some parts of lower Canada and the US, even down to TX....has had alot of snow and cold....shiver me timbers 8) :?

perhaps it was a good thing that we got stuck up here for this very mild winter....(thankyou,thankyou,thankyou)

do you remember back in 08 when Caroline and I went to the Rockies for a world formation for the eden event? well, this summer, around solstice we are going to the last Eden event.....in Arkansas (Eureka) and we plan on taking the RV.....so we best sell this house, soon..

Allan is going to drive, me , Caroline, and another lady who wants to get gathered.... then we'll pick up another lady in Idaho,,then when we get there,,,Laura and Rob will meet us there...or we'll go down and get her!!!

Allan and I just did a 2,000 mi trip from here to Spokane then down to Portland, and back home ....left Thurs afternoon, and got back late Sun night....that was quite the trip...but we made a committment for a certain RV - so things are taking forward momentum.

It's almost 10 and I have a call to make and hope I get more than 15 min....will try you when I know the lines are fixed.

love you too...pp

HI PP,

It is good to get an update of the latest happenings in your life. It sounds like things are moving forward! How was the short-long trip you made? :) Were you trying out an RV?
Oh wow! Your summer plans for the Eden event sound wonderful! I so enjoyed hearing your detailed account of your previous Eden event held in Canada. So once again, sis, please keep detailed notes In that wise ole head of yours to share with us "home bound" siblings. I've never been to Arkansas... What is the summer time weather like there? Probably much like its next door neighbor state...Tennessee... of which I am rather familar with.. ;)

It sounds like Laura is making progress. Good on her taking it one day at a time. And it is a relief to know that she is with kind hearted people. How is Robert getting on in his new job? I hope he too runs into some kind people and the job is enjoyable despite the fact that his dearest companion, Laura, being able to share his work experience with him right now. I pray the angels guide and protect his way.

Now how about you...Are you healing and feeling stronger these days? Last time I spoke with you were just beginning to strengthen your card playing muscles. ;) I think I could use a little back strengthening exercises myself. I am having a tough day as my lower back is playing up again. I decided to look up what Louise Hay had to say in her healing book about this particular pain...

Lower back...fear of money. Lack of finacial support.
Middle back....Guilt. Stuck in all that stuff back there. "Get off my back."
Upper back.... Lack of emotional support. Feeling unloved. Holding back love.

Hmmm...Well, will have to think about this. While on the surface it doesn't seem like some apply, underneath fear and worry, guilt etc...all those "uglies" could be silently at work. I have found it is so easy to push away your own issues as if they aren't important and worthy of your own attention. :)

Okay, my dear...I am off for now. You take good care of yourself. You may not have noticed, but you are very much needed!

Love,
Sandy

OK, here it is

So in the meantime, we decided if we are going to sell, we are going to travel, and about a week ago, we drove about 2,000 miles in almost 4 days...crossed the border at The Peace Arch..into Washington, stopped in Marysville for overnight, and looked at RV’s the next day,,and by noon headed west, over the Snoqualmie Pass heading for Spokane. Had the strangest experience with FOG,,,(and being from the southern Van Island, we know what pea soup fog is. But this lasted for 3 hrs.....see much????? HA! We had a glimpse at the beginning to know we had started to go through country that is like our Okanagan and Kamloops areas.......lots of sagebrush and not much else. So we started to ‘see’ again not far out of Spokane......the huge wind turbines were awesome. We ate and slept till Sat am and went to an RV show, by noon we had seen all that was possible to see, and headed back south west heading for Portland....now that was a cool drive.....the mtns aren’t high and you travel along the Columbia river gorge.....aaaaaawwwwesome! I had a really good feeling about 'The Dalles' also and we stopped at The Hood overnight,,,,, beautiful trip....and in Portland we decided on the RV we want.....and providing the ‘sale’ on our property,,,,,we will be in it as soon as possible...
and we'll have 6 ladies and poor Allan, down at the Event. He's a brave fellah!!!

Funny you should mention, card muscles....I played a couple of times, but stopped again....sitting up on a hard chair for a couple of hours is too painful still....and right hand is still a mess.....specialist visit tomorrow,,,,don't know if I should let him know I'm not too impressed,,,,just rather disappointed, and that's not his fault,,,,he did get quite abit sorted out....

I'm late on a couple of things tonight, so ta rah for now... chai anyone!!!

Hi PP and Clare! No worries..I think George, Geoff, Anne, Gypsie, Lilly and I live in one of the safest (in nature's terms) area of the country. We rarely see bad storms...no tornados and it is a very rare thing should a hurricane strike as we are just a little too far south. I don't even thik we are in too much danger from fire and flooding. So I am thanking the Creator for our blessings and praying for our Aussie "countrypeople" who are truly being put through the ringer.

Your trip sounds fabulous! :bike: I just love traveling places I have never been...that is, if it is far away from Sydney! (we get lost every time we even think about that great city! ) I am a backroads gal aand feel quite at home on dirt treks and cow pastures... :) Just have to get used to those busy urban throughfares... (My kingdom for a nice hole in the ground in the outback! Okay, the heat would kill me, little wimp that I am. But you catch my drift. ;) )

Hope the specialist has some ideas to improve your comfort and mobility. :finger: I must admit I am a tad under the weather too the past few days... back aches and chest pains. (not the dangerous kind don't worry! :) )

It is coolish and rainy here and so I am contemplating baking something...I haven't tried low carb tortillas yet. So maybe that would be fun and something different we could eat for supper tonight. My kingdom for a big ole piece of cheesecake right now! :sunflower:

Love all you chai and tea drinking compadres!

I've watched The Secret and basically the secret is "faith" to have faith in the God and to always be happy. If you are always happy and smiling and believe things should come to you quickly. Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." It's all about faith and having enthusiasm and emotional appeal when you speak.

Tip: You can't just sit there and meditate all day and ask for something just to appear out of the blue, you have to go out and look for it, and only then it will be given. Faith. Believe. :sunflower:
