Still here

Post by serene »

hi all....

Just wanted to let you know I was still about!

Its been a while, things have been so busy my feet havent touched the ground since last september. For anyone that remembers the 11 11 guided me through the set up of my business.. I have not been neglecting my messages and have been happily mulling through this last year. The numbers have been really prominent since I married my husband, and my daughter has been noticing them more and more.
I am about to move, and my 10 year old pointed out to me that we are moving into a house 11 door numbers up from where we are, we live in 153 and are moving to 164... ADD 1+6+4=11 164-153=11 so we have our 11 11 house aswell!!

hope you are all well xxxxx

Hi Serene,
Welcome back! How is your pet business going? It was such a noble Idea...and so needed. I hope many animals as well as owners have benefited from the education and services this type of work provides.
Hope your move goes smoothly. It sounds like you will have lots of help. 8)
Love,
Sandy

Hi Serene! Welcome back! I just moved as well, and my daughter (13) is noticing prompts more and more. She said, "Mom, it seems every time I look at the clock it's 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, etc." I'm trying not to get too excited because, being a typical teenager, if I push it, she'll go the opposite way!

HI sandy!!

How lovely to be greeted by a familiar face! I hope you are well :)
I should pop by more often...its nice to read the other 1111 stories ...... time is just so limited these days!
The petshop is good, we would have been trading a year in september, I cant wait for that milestone to pass! However we seem to have become more than a petshop offering advice on animals. I now deal with a whole range of queries from housing to social welfare! Its nice to be able to advise people though, and even better when they win their cases and tell me that they wouldnt have made the effort if I hadnt helped them. I like to support the more vulnerable members of the community and help to give a voice to those who dont feel able to speak.

Xmas was lovely, we had so many people in the shop chatting the day away, it really felt like a community store. We have built great links with our local animal welfare, and are now promoted & reccommended by our local council and the local vets!! I do feel we have done alot of good things this year people and animals alike have benefited.

I do feel very lucky in the help that I have had, and the guidance that I have received, its also reassuring to know that no matter how busy I am as long as I stay focused they will be with me to guide me!
Take care
love

Hi luvinlife.....

I hope you have settled in well at your new home! Children are great I love it when my daughter tells me of her premonitions before they happen, and like your daughter is constantly seeing the numbers and pointing them out to me. I have answered her questions and she has always known that mother nature is my god, but she is not yet a teen and do expect her attitude to change throughout that time! however she has always enjoyed a deep and meaningful I hope that doesnt change!!

Take care

love

Hi Serene,
How wonderful that your business is taking off in leaps and bounds! It is what you were hoping for and your dreams are becoming a reality! Well done!
Your post got me thinking about my pet store days. I worked for a family owned pet store for five years and loved every minute of it. We didn't sale dogs and cats but dealt mostly with Tropical fish, small mammals, and reptiles.... you know, smaller animals. Of course there was this iguana once that had either escaped or was released inappropriately in Northern Ohio. He wandered amilessly into the yard of the local Volunteer Fire department who were a bit awed and uncertain of how to handle him. They told our pet store manager he was about two feet long but from tip to tail it was more like 4 when she went to pick him up. Luckily he was a real sweetheart as sometimes they can be hard to handle. I am of the mind he escaped but unfortunately no one turned up to claim him and he wound up with a new and very good home with one of our most knowledgable customers. Who know, maybe things worked out for the best for all concerned. :D Hope so! :finger:

Hi sandy,

How lovely that you worked with animals, although its not suprising, I think alot of us folk have an empathy with animals and nature. I do love exotic animals, however dealing with their food is a different story... I really dont do bugs, and we have quite a large demand for live food! I dislike the live food delivery. we do have a strict policy.... anyone who leaves their bugs die will have orders cancelled at no notice. I can release the crickets but not the locusts so I get really angry when people dont turn up for live food. Its still cruelty so I wont accept it! :(
Iguanas and lizards are exotic pets and our local borough wouldnt allow us to have a license because people do not know how to look after them properly. And like you we wont sell dogs, we hope to be able to set up a rescue centre so we can rehome the strays.
Renewel of the Lease for the shop are now well underway again and I need all the strength I can get from the angels right now!!
Sometimes business is so hard to deal with, or the people that you are dealing with are hard work!! Either way I really need extra strength to get me through this time!
:finger: it all works out!

Much love

Hi Serene,

Yeah I know what you mean with the bugs. It took a while for me to get used to the crickets we sold at the shop. Once we received a phone call from the delivery company who told us that the box of live crickets from the bug farm had become damaged and now they had crickets running rampant all over their warehouse. My cheeky manager asked if if he would like to buy a few Savannah Moniters to clean up the problem.
There was never a dull moment and always something to do at the shop. I really loved working there... Miss it sometimes. But I suppose life moves on and we flow as positively as we can with it, huh? :)

Either way I really need extra strength to get me through this time!
I'll remember you in my prayers. Hope the lease renewal goes smoothly and your business continues to grow and prosper. :finger:

1 year 1 week and 1 day!! The landlord wouldnt do the repairs and we got into an argument, he gave us 2 days notice to leave the shop! Our customers were devastated and the shop has been empty since ( Since sept ) Im taking him to court now but its besides the point, when the shop closed I got my message that my lesson was learnt, the business was just a stepping stone, onto what I dont know, but the message was clear, the shop was only ever a lesson! How weird, One year one week one day!!

Hi Serene,
I'm sorry to hear about your shop closing. I guess lessons come in all packages don't they? You seem to be doing well in accepting this and moving on. I hope many good things are surrounding you in the now and manifesting in your future. It's good to hear from you. :D

Hi Sandy,

I have had a couple of months to get used to it, and to be honest the 11 11 was there all the way through, In 1989 I knew I would have my daughter in the year 2000 and I also knew that I would have a business and not have it when I was 30 I knew the business would not fail and I would not be bankrupt!?????? ( explains it all now!!) it was only ever a lesson. I guess what we know cant hurt us!!
I think it was teaching me that I could do anything when I set my mind to it. That I have the strength of personality to be anything that I wanted, and I also have the strength to see the most impossible become possible. I have a high stress tolerance and I am happiest when I am running around like a headless chicken wishing another day in the week would appear. I think there are a lot more lessons in there as I am now taking on the legal profession single handed!! EEK!!
Im excited and nervous about the future, but happy that I have the strength of character to move on!
