AND NOT JUST newyorkers, people from all over helped!

Sometimes it just takes one or two people having a bad day to turn your thoughts from positive hope and good will to ones of negativity, anger, distrust, and hopelessness. Our words are very powerful..even our thoughts travel before us and can be often subconsciously translated itno emotion by those around us...As hard as it seems sometimes...the best defense for the dark side is a great offense...And this is gonna sound cornier than my usual posts but like any good offense some fore thought and planning is helpful and in order. Our thoughts and can change not only the way our lives shape up but affect those around us as well,as a sort of side affect. When I first moved to Australia, so far away from my family and the life I had known, I was bombarded with so much change and disruption that I had trouble assimilating it and thus withdrew and my thoughts became darker less open to good things and people. Had it continued in this manner, I would definitely be a candidate for an anger management class, But I had a few loving friends, Midwayer Mathew for one, who nudged and coddled and laid it out to me straight with..."Don't allow your thoughts to drift into that same old rut! Look with fresh eyes. Look at people with the intent of finding one thing good within them. " It helped and truthfully, I really had to search with some people, but all of us have good and bad traits within us. Unfortunately, disharmony and troubles, have a way of bringing out the darker side of human nature. Because these animal traits come to us so naturally, it is far easier to "let em" roll instead of taking a deep breath...relaxing ...and thinking calmly and logically...or asking for inner help from "those" very willing and always close by to assist us. When we go out into the world with the attitude of helping to heal the wounds around you than your own wounds heal faster as well. Does that make sense in a "goody two shoes" sort of way."People immediately look for the WORST in everyone, and I've found throughout my life that people will even go so far as to "create" something wrong if they cannot "find" something wrong with you, in terms of your "goodness" or kindness inside of you.
It's a shame that just about everyone has been converted to "the dark side" because of past hurts, and past negative experiences, the world looks at you as if you are "guilty until proven innocent" in terms of you being a good person, and trust is an almost non-existant thing nowadays
