Hi Maria,,,

Glad to hear your youngest did so well at home,,,,my Reiki Master, mentor, raised their boy at home too,,,and honestly the kids a marvel.....mind you he's 21 now,,,,but he certainly gained from not going to public school...he's a computer whiz,,,is into the arts at the moment,,,plays drums,,,,,the list goes on...

Sorry to hear about your visa troubles,,,,can't you take classes though???

Yes that's my Prince,,,he's gone to the great doggie beyond,,,but I miss him. I've written several times about our dogs on this thread,,,so in your wanderings some time through these 62 pages of the Secret Thread, you'll find some stories about them...

we have one left now,,,and she turned 12 last Feb....my eagle is coming up again soon though.....he's giving me the nudge...

Newfies are such beautiful dogs,,,,just keep in mind they don't live much beyond 8 yrs old,,,,because of their size and bad hips.....and yes they do have a really thick undercoat....after all,,,,they're used to jumping into the northern atlantic as rescue dogs,,,,they even have webbed feet........A Jack Russel will keep you busy   and I love retreivers too....... seems to me there's an animal thread somewhere in the misc section...

I don't think I want any more animals after Echo and the cats are gone...

we have a couple of visiting outdoor cats,,,so they'll keep the mice down..plus the owls do a good job too.....

I think if we ever thought about another dog,,,it would be something small, that I can pop into a bag and carry around,,,,,

love to everyone,,,
pp xoxoxo

Hope things straighten out for you,,,,sooner than later...
Daily Affirmation:
I am alive to beauty, to laughter, to wonders within and without.
I am free to live and to enjoy life.
I accept divine presence as the fulfillment of my needs.

Hi Dear Friends ,

Oh my goodness, yes indeed, "runaway train" is an excellent description of this thread, Gypsie Deb! It took me nearly three days to do that detailed catching up last time, and I see that this thread's gotten back into an active phase, so I think I'm gonna just have to do a bit quicker, less detailed catching up this time! Better start catching up now, while I still can!

Thanks, everyone, for your sweet comments on my latest avvie! LUV2

Heather
, that's an endearing story about you with your chest cold sounding like a little kitten crying ... best wishes for your continued recovery from that pesky bug! :D

That poor little self-obsessed bird in your yard, does she ever take the time to eat or sleep, I wonder?

Laura, Thanks for your prayers regarding the Gallery; the group could use them! I've been sparing everyone the details thus far (though at some point I may put in an official prayer request, and/or even discuss aspects of it on the mothers thread, which would be quite relevant ), but it seems that things may now be reaching a crisis point, with enough members getting sufficiently dissatisfied with the current politics that there will probably either be a "revolution" leading to an improved situation, or there may be a mass exodus in a few months. We try to keep a low profile and stay as detached as we can in order to keep from getting overly caught up in all the negativity and power struggles, but it's not always easy. Our sense currently is that most people are at least holding out for the upcoming busy summer season due to the sales opportunities, but once that's over, who knows  ... it's definitely continued motivation to keep reading A New Earth, anyway!

Best of luck with the continued job search; it sounds like interviewers are finding you to be a well-qualified candidate, and once the opportunity and the timing are right, it'll happen for sure! :D I also pray that you continue moving and being guided toward discovering your passion and living it. :colors:

Gypsie Deb, thanks for continuing to keep us posted about dear Nicola and baby Beth! I've added in my continued prayers, and it sounds like the prayers have been helping. :happy

That's wonderful that you've found an art deco house! :colors: I have always liked art deco too! I too am looking forward to hearing about it when you get the chance! :D

Yes, the prices of food have been going up here too  -- it's been a big topic on the news lately. It's helped some that we tend to eat mostly vegetarian now, but even some of the fruits and vegetables are pretty expensive as well!

Sandy, speaking of art deco, in addition to everyone else's descriptions, another feature of it, I think, is that it incorporates the shapes and flow of nature into the design of furniture, etc., for example, a floor lamp with the stems, leaves and blossoms of a flower worked into the design. If you do a Google search on "art deco" and click "Images," it'll show you pictures of all kinds of gorgeous examples. :colors:

That's a great story about the cardinals with the side view mirrors on your cars! I also got a kick out of your initial reading of my question as "buck dancing while wearing dogs!" What a funny concept, and what a funny image it brings to mind! Even dancing with attached chihuahuas would probably still present a bit of a challenge!   Or, maybe one really could dance while wearing dogs, if they just wore "dog clogs?" I did a Google search just for the heck of it, and yes, they really do have such a thing!:

Image

Those are kind of cute, actually :D -- I might not mind having a pair!

I, too, have found myself asking for our Divine Parents to just be there with me in meditation a few times now, accompanying me through whatever else I do in the meditation, and they have done so -- it really is comforting! :happy I agree that love is the fundamental healing force behind everything, and what our main work boils down to is really just removing whatever fears, resistances, or blocks we still carry to allowing it to flow freely to and from us. So in that sense, I guess it is simple, when you get right down to it! :D

Your garden sounds wonderful, and it sounds like you and George are really carefully tending it and getting really beautiful, nutritious vegetables from it as a result! I remember seeing him writing about it once on another thread, and how much he enjoys it -- what a fun thing for you both to share and nurture together! :D As dedicated as you are to its upkeep, I'm sure you'll keep those bugs under control! :D

I loved your story about maneuvering through the thread lines in the garden -- it does sound just like those movies where the brilliant, highly-trained burglars have elaborate plans for breaking into a museum and stealing a world-famous diamond!

Your mention of George's diabetes reminds me again of the Ornish diet -- We're primarily following it for weight loss right now, but his latest book, The Spectrum (just came out in January 2008) discusses adapting the basic eating plan to target it specifically to prevent and reverse several different conditions and "dis-eases" (as Louise Hay calls them), including Type 2 diabetes, as well as high cholesterol, overweight, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease (what he originally got famous for), prostate cancer, and breast cancer. It sounds like you already eat a lot that way already -- vegetarian, lots of whole grains, etc. :D

We are still working on buying only enough fruits and vegetables at a time to eat them before they get old and start losing their life force and their appeal!  We also still tend to eat too many grains and too little fruits and vegetables, all in all , so I think that'll be our next step, trying to tweak things to improve that balance. :D

November, that's a really good thing to remember about putting mirrors in birds' cages. We always had mirrors in the birds' cages too when we were kids growing up, but none of our birds ever laid eggs, so perhaps they just happened to all be males. :D

PP, yes, I am really seeing us all growing and evolving together in parallel as lightworkers with all these tools you've metioned (The Secret, Ask and it is Given, A New Earth, Autobiography of a Yogi, etc.) and the guidance of the Celestials and our higher selves, in a united, mutually-supportive way that is greatly strengthening all of us and really helping us contribute to a major shift in consciousness, a critical mass, that can eventually greatly change the energy of the planet for the better as we continue to support each other in releasing our own resistance and negativity, healing ourselves, and sending healing to each other. It's really a beautiful arrangement! :D :happy

Your library of herb books sounds wonderful! :D If I sat down next to your bookshelf and started looking, I might be in there reading for days!

I'm sending you healing thoughts for the quick recovery of your knee too!

That's great that Oprah is continuing with the Monday night online classes! What a service she's providing to the world! :colors:

By the way, I always enjoy and benefit from your thoughts on spiritual matters and the teachings we are all reading and absorbing, as I'm sure we all do! :D

Maria, welcome to this gigantic thread, which has been going on for nearly a year and a half now! :colors: We often refer to it as our big international coffee house here on these boards, where anyone can pull up a chair and have a cup of tea or coffee and chat about our lives and get to know each other! :D

Nice avatar, with you and that beautiful horse, by the way! :D

I'm sorry to hear that your son had that terrible experience with a bully at school! :( It sounds like the home schooling has been really good for him. :D He sounds like a beautiful, good and sensitive person who may likely be a lightworker himself :happy -- how wonderful that you have been creating an environment for him that promotes his inner security and healing! :D

I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your work visa -- that is difficult! :( I'm sending along my prayers that everything resolves itself for the highest good. :D We're all feeling those high gas prices too!

I agree, summer weather is so lovely, isn't it? It makes all the less-than-perfect things much easier to deal with! Today it got up to 75 degrees F here, even though we're in the shade in the redwoods, and we've had the back door open with the breezes wafting in, very pleasant. :D Apparently a major heat wave is forecasted for this region -- the temperature is expected to reach the 100's F in places further inland. I just checked the online weather forecast, and I'm surprised to see that even here, 10 miles inland from the coast and in the shade, it's supposed to get into the 90's F later this week! :D

A Jack Russell would be a fun, smart dog to have as a member of the family, I'll bet! :D

Lilly, your story about the giant zucchini is funny! Zucchini often does grow just a little too well! I love fuschias; those are one of my favorite flowers, especially the magenta-and-purple ones; they're stunning! :colors:

Yes, I have been feeling a little drained lately, but I've been attributing it largely to the fact that I haven't been exercising for a while (even though we've now moved the treadmill right into the living room, so there's really little excuse left! ). But who knows -- it may be a side effect of all the accelerated growth we all seem to be undergoing lately too.

I never did catch on to ice-skating, and am not a big fan of the cold or of winter sports in general, so I'd be sitting on the sides watching too! :D

I've heard in some herbal lore that rosemary thrives in homes where a woman is in charge! :D I love rosemary in split pea soup -- back in Mendocino, the little natural-food co-op there had a garden out in back, and they'd just cut you stalks of rosemary right off the plant. :D I remember driving home with those, and the delicious aroma would fill up the whole car! Mmm, heavenly! :happy :D

I'm very sorry to hear about your brother's friends :( -- sending healing energies to their families and all who have been affected.

Joining everyone else in thinking of Pet and her family as well. I'm sure she can feel us!

Hello as well to those of you who I didn't address by name here! :hithere

Love to You All LUV2,

Hello everybody, and Hello PP and Aqua Deb

This is an amazing thread. So much friendliness. International coffee house. And it is always open. I do not have much time for reading on the computer right now so it will take me a while to go through the posts. What I have read so far tells me that this is indeed a community glued together by the joy of caring and giving. This is really a good site, no wonder people feel they evolve spiritually - I am certainly helped by it. And Liz new love thread is a well of love to drink from.

Not having the ability to work and study here really consumes me for the moment. I have to find a way around this. Thinking about buying the books and read them independently and then take twice as many classes when my work visa comes. Hmmm... YES! That might work. It is Aqua Deb's prayer that help me think. :D Thanks!

PP, reiki sounds interesting. Do you have an organization, website(s) or books to recommend? I know litterary nothing, yet.

Aqua Deb, you live close to a redwood forest? How awesome. I have heard that the redwood trees are the oldest living "thing" on earth. Millions of years old. I hope they can be saved for the future.
Nice clogs!

Hello all you dear ones...

Maria, I can certainly sympathize with your immigration problems. The proccess is very difficult and complicated hear in Australia too. I have filed and received two progressive visas and I have one more to go that we will begin working on in a month so that I can become a permanent resident and reside here with my husband... To tell you the truth my head swims just thinking about it and all the paperwork again. I pray that your next work visa application moves swiftly through the immigration bureaucracy. ( I'm telling you the truth... it can happen...I have a story to tell you that might help you feel better and have some hope... When I filed my first Australian visa from the U.S (In Australia you must be residing outside of Australia when you file) my immigration agent was told that it would be 24 weeks before they could even begin processing it. A month later she received the answer that my visa had been granted! What happened was... because of an overload at the Australian embassy in Washington DC, they sent it to an embassy in Canada where it was used to help train a new immigration agent. ( It was a perfect application even if I do say so myself  Our immigration agent is tops. She is also a lawyer and crosses every "T" and dots every "i" and makes sure every item needed is in place and in an easy to find and read format.) I was overjoyed and found myself heading back to Australia and my husband on May 5 the same date George "heard" when he was lamenting my leaving about a week before I went back to the United States in February
We feel very strongly we had Divine/Celestial help on this one... :D
You are in our prayers dear lady... I know everything will work out for the best. :happy
Love,
Sandy

I am already behind here :shock: So I will answer in another post in just a bit.. {{{HUGS}}}

PETRA
Well I almost fell into the computer when I saw a post from Petra, HELLO you old #@*"+ as you would say!!!! now Pet i am obsessed with those auction shows in the UK, pay TV is taking over (Sex and the City is my joy at the moment) I know I should be watching how to evolve but those clothes emmmmmmmmmm
As for Wales I see it is looking better as the coal hills are covered with grass but are they safe to walk on? houses are so cheap there or I'm watching a re-run from years ago and don't know, whos the gypsie now?

My cousins own a caravan park on the border of Scotland actually they have 2,500 in the village and I'm related to 500 which is a worry in itself  anyway if you get stuck they said come camp and dance around the fire, when are you going to give me your address to send that skirt????
Aqua Debs
I am taking a page from your book and color coding or I will get confused, now I know why you do it (also your a wonderous artist as I look at my raven by you in my lounge) it's easier to keep track....PHEW
That guy really needs a talking stick full of lavender to calm him and the egos down. I will never forget when I did the country change to an alternate community and the guy with the talking stick wanted to hit people  my God I thought they arn't alternate they are like my drunken gypsy family Heeee Heeee

The photo Ron took sounds wonderful can we buy one? I have never heard of the redwood forest, I am going to google it asap. I remember when you found the property, you posted the picture of the road to it, beauitful, you both have made such a grand life together Debs...I keep forgetting how kind it is of you to donate to the 11:11 site I know Sandy, George and Geoff need all the help they can get....

Laura
Oh I am sorry you missed out on the pet shop as you know both Sandy and I have worked in one, why not send those cards, a reading may help? Just a thought
Billy has been coming in 2nd lately as well but you have the wright attitude Laura, they remember him and low and behold they will call. He got through some full on auditions for a new talent show, they started with 2,000 kids and he made the final 50, so close but 25 was what they needed. He will still be on the show so we can enjoy him singing his little heart out, they asked where his voice came from his answer was "OH thats my Gypsie powers"...I almost died but they loved it   the little tinker...
Heather
Sorry you have been sick, you poor love we have had a virus as well, yucky stuff hey? Hope you feel better. I was thinking of that little bird in your garden maybe you could leave one mirror for it, bless it's little soul...

Miss Peacock Plume
(as Michelle would say)
I had to make you green just for your Granmar, I love gardening and can't wait to plant away, first I need to block out the units at the back, then build a dome to knock out the planes, can you believe I lived at Crystal Creek only 3 years ago and whinged now I am in every city path you can imagine!!!!
You can't wait for warmth but I can't wait for the cold, my hot flushing is really bad and the HRT is making me sick in the tummy so I may have to grin and bare it girls and Bing boy....

Maria :hithere hello I am the one who accidently started this thread and it has become a home to us all, I wish we were closer I really do imagine if we were!! We come from all over the world and have bonded through the internet, it's hard to imagine for some but the magic is people join it and it feels like you have been here forever. I am sorry about your son, how old is he? My twins are 12 and growing...Do you need a visa to move from NYC to Carolina? OH I'd love to visit NYC but the Redwood forests sounds cool don't they? It's great to meet you and i am so happy you are here, I love your Avi the horse is beautiful :sunny:
Sandy
you are so so sweet Lily and I must make the effort to visit I have no idea why I am so shy, I never shut up here :stars: Lily gave a great description of Art Deco period but I have an idea, if you and George visit Katoomba the period is everywhere, go on the weekday it's less crowded and cheaper. They have hot deals on wotif and you can get a room with a fireplace for around $50 a night. The Art Deco buildings are amazing but let me know if you do go and I can email you a few special places to visit.
Also the Jenollan Caves are a treat, they are all crystal and after 60 years the Amythist Cave is open to the public :bana: , I can't wait to visit...my house is tiny compared to what real Art Deco is, I had a unit 14 years ago in Randwick, should have bought it but you know how it is, always good after the fact....

Lily
oh you poor girl I too have lost friends from Hep C and I have personally battled it, I was lucky and the treatment worked but it was so awful and I was so sick for a long time. The Liver Cleansing Diet by Dr Sandra Cobot is amazing she is in Bondi maybe your other friend could see her? just a thought. I also know a very cheap Chinese Herbalist in Marrickville and then the trials are free again, another thought, I do some stuff with the Hep C foundation. It's a program called Clean and Speak...I am blessed to have ridden my body of Hep C as I was getting sick, I thank God I had the geno type which responded :finger:

Hope I caught up Nasari thanks for posting Petras email I too have thought of her often and wish I could be closer to them...

Well love to all and if I forgot you I am sorry I just picked up the runaway train from my last post or there abouts it's HUGE!!!!!

November Birds love a mirror in a cage they get so lonely without one, but it can slow a parrots speaking down, my old cockatiel ALFA could ring like the telephone, Harry would say Deb your birds ringing :geek:

Love to my beautiful friends and may a butterfly cross your path this week love to all Gypsie  :colors: the colour copycat!!!!

I forgot to tell you all the job I applied for at the Bridal Registry ( 6 months ago) came through this week, YEH I had a second interview and they said YES! The man who interviewed me thought my resume was a bit transient and I said "well if you had 12 year old twins 12 years ago yours would be transient," it's hard when we have kids, he laughed and started to tell me how his wife felt like her life was slipping away with two small children (career wise I mean) so it went in my favour, I start training on Tuesday and after all the visualisations the Secret is paying off. Not only did I get a job but I go the one I visioned, it's such a strong tool, Laura you will be next...

Another thing has happened Pat, my mother-in-law is poorly Harry and Jack just flew to Melbourne to cheer her up, she is in such pain. Being hit by a car at 79 is tough, hey? God Bless her she is such a nice lady...

Hugs to all

Hi Gypsie,
Congratulations on your new job, great news...... Everything is coming together for you now.... very happy for you.... :D
My brothers mate has tried a lot of treatments but now they've told him nothing more can be done. I don't really know him. The other two I knew from growing up in the same area.... It's very sad. Godbless them.
I'm just looking at the beautiful roses on the table, my daughter gave me them on Mother's day. All different shades of pink and one yellow, they look lovely. Today I cut a lot of dead wood from the garden and made it a symbolic gesture representing my new life......onward and upward in my outlook.
Last night some new people came to meditation and I felt a really odd vibe, couldn't let myself go deep, I was freezing cold as well....one of the other regular ladies felt it too. I had a nice hot bath with cider vinegar and salt when I got home....Don't know if I'll go back. Might save my money and make my garden nicer.....I want to get some Camelia bushes. I love them. When I meditate with my friend we always have a really nice energy around us.
Love to you and the boys.

Hi Dear Every One LUV2,

Maria, yes, this really is an amazing, friendly, loving thread, and yes, we have all been watching each other growing spiritually over time -- it really is wonderful! :happy. And our cute Liz's love thread has only just begun, but it's on an equally great topic! :colors:
Maria wrote:...Thinking about buying the books and read them independently and then take twice as many classes when my work visa comes. Hmmm... YES! That might work. It is Aqua Deb's prayer that help me think. :D Thanks!
You're quite welcome! :colors: Reading the books independently right now sounds like a potentially very good plan :D -- you'd have more time to absorb the material by starting reading it in advance, which would make it all the easier to take more classes at once later! :D I love how the angels, our higher selves, and other Celestials all work together to come up with new, creative solutions! :happy :colors:

Yes, we do live right in the middle of a beautiful redwood forest! :D Back on page 21 of this thread, I included a couple pictures from when we first moved here last July! :D The coastal redwoods grow only primarily in a range along the coast from southern Oregon at the northpost point down to the beautiful Monterey Bay area on the central California coast, a couple of hours south of us, and yes, they're very old! :D They have to live by the coast because, being so tall (I just looked up this cool fact on line: the tallest redwood on record stands 367 feet (112 meters), which is 62 feet (19 m) taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York! :D ), they can't pull the water all the way up their trunks from the ground, so they also "drink" the fog through their top needles to meet all their water requirements! :D Many of the biggest redwoods were lost due to logging, but I think now many of them are protected by laws and preserved in national parks. :D

Petra!

It's wonderful to hear from you, and to hear that you're all doing well! Blog to your heart's content anytime you get access to a computer over there if you wish -- we all love hearing from you, and we look forward to your stories as time and computer access permit! :colors: Those picture-postcard perfect azure beaches sound fantastic! (I love Manny's comment!  )
Pet wrote:...have been thinking of you all every single day...hell! I even DREAM about you all at nigth!
See everyone, she HAS been hearing all of us talking to her heart-to-heart and mind-to-mind! This form of communication really works well in this group! :colors:

Sandy and Sarah, thanks to both of you for sharing Pet's postcards with us too!

Sandy, wow, I didn't realize that the visa process was so difficult ; I guess I assumed that if you married someone in another country, you'd just automatically become a citizen! I'm so glad you've had Divine/Celestial help with the process, and I hope you continue to get more for the remainder of the process! :D (I'm certain that you will! :colors:) And I pray that you get Divine/Celestial help with yours too, Maria! :happy

Gypsie Deb, yes, we can quite identify with your story of doing the "country change to an alternate community" and being rather surprised -- it's not always exactly what one might imagine! . It'd sure be nice if the Gallery group could eventually embrace a concept like the talking stick being used in the positive way it's actually meant to be used  (aha, that gives me something positive to visualize!:colors: -- And the lavender would be great too -- I should hide little lavendar sachets all through the gallery and perhaps people will subtly find themselves feeling calmer and not even know why!)

We read a really interesting book about the redwoods, and the adventures of these scientists who climb them and study them, called "The Wild Trees," by Richard Preston. Click here to see his website about this book, which has lots of fascinating information and photos. :D One really amazing thing is that there's an entire ecosystem growing up in the top of the redwood canopy, hundreds of feet above ground, where there's actually a layer of soil with miniature trees and all sorts of interesting plants and lichens growing in/on it, and many animals that had never even seen humans before the scientists went up there to investigate. :colors:

Ron would be delighted to sell you a matted copy of his redwood photo if you so desire! :colors: He hears about all of you from me all the time, and he also wants to donate a percentage of the proceeds to the 11:11 Progress group! He's currently selling unframed 8" x 10" versions of this photo, with 11"x14" mattings, for $45 U.S., not including postage (Here's a link to world currency exchange rates). He currently has either black or light purple matting. I've included a small version of the photo below, and the two mattings available. Once he's got another one assembled, I'll add a photo of the whole thing to my art page next time I add new stuff. PM me if you'd indeed like to buy one! :colors:

Congratulations on getting the job at the Bridal Registry! Hurray! :colors: :colors: :colors: That was a great truthteller answer about the "transient resume" concern, and how wonderful that the interviewer responded well and his own wife could relate! :D It just goes to show how if we just dare to be our authentic selves, those who we're meant to associate with will be naturally drawn to us, just as we are! :D How great that you're a living example for all of us of how well applying the Secret works. :D Laura, I agree, you'll be next! :colors: :colors: :colors:

I'm sorry to hear this latest about Pat :( -- she's in my prayers! :happy

Lilly, I'll continue to send prayers for your brother's friend! :happy. Your Mother's Day roses sound lovely! Fresh flowers always lend such a lovely vibe to the room! :colors:

What a great thing to do, to make clearing and cleaning tasks into symbolic gestures of cleansing and renewal -- an excellent practice for all house- and yardwork! :colors:

I'm sorry to hear about the odd vibe at your meditation :( -- perhaps the new people will either not return, or it's a message from the Universe that it's time to do something new with that time slot -- gardening is certainly a great choice! :colors: I agree, camelia bushes are gorgeous -- we had a huge one in our yard in Mendocino and it was lovely! :D

Hello to all who I haven't mentioned here by name as well! :hithere

Hello everybody

Sandy and Aqua Deb, thanks for prayers. My current troubles with the immigration authority probably fits into a bigger picture I can not yet see... Who knows what lessons there is for me to learn. I do hope for a miracle though. What a miraculous event with your first application Sandy. One month instead of six. That must have been such a relief for you and George.

Gypsi Deb Congratulation to the new job.
No, one does not need a visa to move from one US state to another. I am Swedish and my former visa expired. We, my husband Sven :king: and I :queen: , will apply for greencards and that will be my new workvisa.
I hope that in the future we will see a globe with no national border. Wouldn't that be someting :D
My son Ivan is thirteen, almost fourteen and he grows taller every day. My oldest, Maurits, is nineteen.

Aqua Deb, your art is so beautiful.
I will go to page 22 tonight and check out the photos. I have a poster somewhere with a redwood tree and a man standing close to it and he looks like a little fairy. He is just so short compared to the gigantic tree...

Hi Everyone,
I just thought I'd say hello and hope we all get a good flow of positive energy to move things along or out of our lives, whichever suits best.
AquaDeb, you are very gifted and that photo of the redwood tree is magnificent......... what a wonderful place to live.
So happy some of you have received word from Pet, she's a real adventurer isn't she. Sandy, I loved the way your visa got through quicker....and Maria I hope yours does too.
Well I've been feeling very odd lately, can't quite describe it......will have to trust that something good is happening within my psyche. I've been working in the garden, trying to clear some of the deadwood and overgrowth......a little at a time. Feel like I can't type properly......
A couple of nights ago the budgie was talking after I covered his cage.....it was so funny, couldn't make out what he was saying, that will come in time...I call him Jimi blue flame.... he's a happy, chirpy little thing.....
pp, our winter is approaching and this house gets freezing.....when you breathe out you can see a mist.....Lol I'm going to buy a lambswool under cover for my bed.
Gypsie, you're an inspiration getting your dream job like that.
Love to Everyone

Hello Everyone,

Lilly, I am glad to hear you are feeling better. Do you think the way you were feeling when you were feeling strangely was attributed to the people at the meeting? hmmm I can't blame you for wanting to possibly miss the next one...George had a problem at a spiritual meeting of sorts, many years ago. He met up with a "not so nice" and rather powerful sinister individual. Was given a rather sudden and sharp headache when he disagreed with something the man said. The fella knew what he was doing...scary. wish I could remember the story properly.

It sounds like you are getting along great with Jimi blue flame. I love that name.! Budgies are great. Such sweet happy little birds!
I was cleaning out some deadwood too this week and I have a question. Do you know anything about lantanna bushes? (I probably didn't spell it properly) They are a ferral bush introduced from Africa, I think. I got poked in the knuckle of my index finger couple days ago and by evening my finger was badly swollen and hard to move. I was just barely touched and had this crazy reaction. :? Should have had my gloves on and you can bet I will have next time! Its almost all better today so at least the effect didn't last long.

Oh by the way thanks to you and Aqua Deb for explaining art deco. I love the art deco that I have just seen on line.... gorgeous! I am happy that our dear gypsie is going to live in a place so suited for her.
Aqua Deb those dog clogs are adorable. I used to love to wear that kind of thing (still do  ) when I worked at a preschool. The kids ate it up!
I was sorry to hear that the fellow artists at the gallery were still behaving so childishly! But perhaps you and Ron will have a calming effect on them eventually. :finger: Keep sending out those love vibes. They are very powerful and strike when the "target" least expect it! :batman:
I love the artwork. I just browsed your site. :thumright: And Ron's photo of the Redwood was lovely too!. I have never seen a Redwood Tree, at least not a large one, but it is my dream to someday touch one of those "giants" and feel its ancient energy. ...someday :happy
This certainly puts it into perspective...
They have to live by the coast because, being so tall (I just looked up this cool fact on line: the tallest redwood on record stands 367 feet (112 meters), which is 62 feet (19 m) taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York!
I did see a youngish redwood in an arberitum (sp?) in East Tennessee. It sounds like at some point the tree park must develop some kind of watering system for this tree as it continues to grow to its full hieght if they want it to survive.

Maria, It sounds like you have a wonderful family. :) How do you like South Carolina? I grew up in the neighboring state of Tennesse and we often vacationed at Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Nice place but it has grown up over the years.
I love the idea of there being no national borders some day, with people being able to freely move around the world to where ever they wish.
I hope along with it we will also see a peaceful world where everyone is happy and well carried for as well. No more hunger...I believe it will happen when we all learn to work together and value all life as precious as our own. We are all family...some day all people of the world will understand that! (I hope and pray it is so!)

Gypsie I am so happy for you getting your dream job as well as a lovely home. Well done! Please tell us all about your new job when you have the time. Now was it this past Tuesday you start or is it next Tuesday... (I'm easily confused.)

Sarah I about spit coffee all over me when Pet came on just after your posted telling us, " I do mind!!" I was feeling a bit guilty for putting that up without asking her permission in my excitement of finally hearing from her. Now the poor dear has lost her, what was it, Urantia Book, cell phone, camera, and half her "undies". What next?
How is your sister and her husband doing? They have been in my thoughts and prayers. Can't imagine dealing with such a horrible tragedy.

PP, You're a good and helpful friend... always willing to lend a hand when needed. I know you are much loved by all your local friends there on the island as well as here. You take care of yourself okay? Don't overdo it.

Oh I almost forgot! Guess what arrived in the mail today? ...'A New Earth!' My kids sent it to me for Mother's Day and it ran into a bit of a delay! Now I can start working on that raging ego of mine  and take Oprah's classes eventually as well.
:D
Okay, sorry this was so long again...gosh, I think I only missed a few days too!...

Love, Love, love and more love to all of you!

Hello everybody.

Lilly, I love your new avatar. Do you have winter now? It just makes me freeze to hear that word... I hope you have a warm nice hat and gloves. My mind is fixed on summer on the other side of the equator so winter is almost impossible to imaging. I love the first weeks of winter though, when the ground is coverd with snow and everything is pure, white and light. It always make me hopeful and happy.

Ahhh... PP , your bird is flying again!

Aqua Deb, I just looked at the picture on page 21. Nice!!! I would love to live in the woods. I took a walk through the city yesterday. Except for one other person I was the only one walking, and I walked for over one hour. Isn't that weird. Hundreds of cars passed me, polluting the air with noice and chemicals. Two men tried to pick me up/give me a lift either by kindness or because they thought I was looking for business. I do not know what to say... I probably need to move into the woods too.

Sandy, did the kids :baby ate your shoes?
South Carolina is still new to me. I don't like the bugs or the wild hogs but the weather is warm and mostly sunny, so I will give it a chance. I live inland, and guess the costal region is much nicer. We live in ugly surburbia and it seems like it is expanding with the speed of light and no one is doing any urban planning. I lived in Saratoga Springs, upstate NY before and that was an adorable victorian health resort in the nineteenth century and most of the small city charmed have been preserved. I bet there are places like Saratoga here too.
I have been to Tennessee in 2002 and the Smokey Mountain region is one of the most wonderful places on earth. Truely a magical place. I saw a blueish butterfly as big as my hand.
How is Australia? I know with my heart how hard it is to cross an ocean and live far away from friends and family. I hope they fly over and meet with you as often as they can.

love to all of you

Hi Sandy,
I was warned years ago by a wonderful psychic friend to be very careful who I meditated with......one of the other regulars didn't feel good either. Because we don't keep in touch during the week, I have no idea how she went on. Something was definitely not right....our usual little group was such a perfect blend of energies......never mind.....I will miss the others.
I hope your finger is completely better, Lantanna is very difficult to remove.......ouch.....it looks pretty.
I call our bird Jimi blue flame because he has these blue marks on either side of his face....he's named after Jimi Hendrix..Lol I think he had a band once called Jimi and the Blue Flames.....It was a shame he got mixed up with drugs..........

Maria,
Our winter will start in June......it doesn't get as cold as where you are...thank goodness. I love butterflies, too. Love walking and looking at the gardens......my grandchildren are coming to stay tonight so we'll probably go somewhere interesting tomorrow. Even if it's to see the ducks in this big park not too far away.....
Better fly and get ready for the kids coming over.
Love lilly xxxxx

Hello Dear Friends,

First of all, thank you all for your kind words about our art!

PP, Hi! :hithere
PP wrote:...California,,,,where it's warm....
Boy, that is sure an understatement right now!  We're in the middle of a heat wave here. It got up to 106 F (41 C) yesterday, even here in the shade! We had all the doors and windows open, and it was still too hot to do much of anything (or to even think, hardly! ) all day, until it finally began to cool off some late in the evening! This afternoon it's a bit cooler, but still 92 F (33 C)! At least it's cool enough to kind of concentrate this afternoon. :D

Maria, yes, I suspect that's the way it is for every challenge we encounter -- it is part of a bigger picture that we may not be able to fully see yet, and that may make a lot more sense to us later. :D :happy
Maria wrote: I hope that in the future we will see a globe with no national border. Wouldn't that be someting :D
Yes, it would indeed! :D :happy :colors:

I know what you mean about the city -- I used to have the same experiences in downtown Denver years ago. Living in the woods is much better for the proximity to nature :colors: -- however, as we've found out with the Gallery experience, one may not necessarily always find better-evolved people out in the woods  , so it's kind of a trade-off sometimes.

Regarding Sandy's comment, "eat it up" is sometimes used as an idiomatic expression, in American English slang at least, that means "really love it." :D. So she meant that the kids really loved it when she wore fun shoes. :D

Wild hogs , I've only read about them in books, but they sound aggressive, so I don't think I'd like them either! :shaking:

Lilly, interesting, the degree of contrast between our weather and your story of the house freezing and being able to see mist when you breathe out! Interesting phenomenon that our seasons are reversed in Urantia's two hemispheres.

What fun that Jimi blue flame (great name! :colors:) sometimes chatters to himself after you cover his cage! Eventually I'm sure you will be able to understand him perfectly :D

Feeling odd and almost not able to type, things like that, I think they are symptoms of spiritual ascension. I have gotten a lot more "spacy" and absent-minded lately in the past few years than I used to be, it seems , and I think it's a sign of that same sort of thing -- we're becoming more tuned in to the non-physical and spirit realms, so our relationship to the material world is shifting a bit. Here's a link that others have frequently posted on different threads in the past that lists some of the many such ascension symptoms.

Have fun with your grandkids! :D

Hi Heather! :hithere I hope you're starting to feel better and better!:D I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Sandy, I love your long posts! :D Your story about George's experience at the spiritual meeting, unfortunately, reminds me a bit of the Gallery meetings. Those who are wired to be psychically attuned and a powerful channel can accomplish so much good when they are using their gifts for the good, but it's difficult and chaotic when they haven't done much consciousness work and are therefore using those talents unconsciously and indiscriminately (like the folks at the Gallery -- but in their case, they at least don't particularly consciously know what they're doing  It's much worse, though, when someone is deliberately directing negativity at others.). More than once, either Ron or I, or both of us, has become physically ill during the Gallery meetings due to the energies there, and nearly passed out, and had to get up and leave!

What fun that you still wear fun clothes like the dog clogs! :D I have a couple of socks with brightly-colored cats on them, and several pairs of psychedelic tie-dyed socks that I wear almost all the time!

That's great that you now have A New Earth too! I am still only about half-way through it -- this would probably be a very appropriate time for me to continue reading it. Hopefully Oprah will keep all the past classes up somewhere on her website so we can access them after the fact! :D

Sarah, I haven't gotten around to responding directly on many of the prayer requests lately, but I too am really sorry to hear about that terrible tragedy your sister and her husband went through, and I'm sending along my prayers as well!

Everyone, speaking of the Gallery (and of opportunities to benefit from what we're learning from A New Earth ), we're still trying to hold to a calm center and keep a relatively low profile as the crisis continues. We've now heard of at least three who have quit the Gallery so far this week (even with the busy season starting!), and at least one more, a key ally, is seriously considering leaving as well. If enough of our allies quit, it won't be worth it to us to stay either, so we're just kind of waiting it out right now, trying to avoid direct conflict and see what transpires. To make a long story short, one main difficulty is one of the two co-founders of the Gallery, a bright, talented and powerful but unconscious and deeply-wounded woman with a completely untamed and domineering ego that is very difficult to tolerate (as well as what looks like a serious alcohol problem and a powerful inner "self-saboteur") (The other co-founder quit earlier this week), who often overrides the co-op's democratic model in an authoritarian manner. She and her one remaining ally are sharing the revolving art-director role (to which they appointed themselves without consulting anyone else  :x) this time around, which has activated everyone's "mother issues" and precipitated this current crisis. Prayers would be appreciated! :happy

Although I've tried to remain as unaffected as possible by all the Gallery energies flying around, and to contribute positive energy when I can, it hasn't always been easy (especially today, when we had to stop by to drop off some stuff, and could feel the negative vibes ), and it's been harder than usual to ignore it and just get back to my own center and keep doing art. The moving recent message from the Celestial Artisan Athena helps a lot -- if she succeeded in maintaining her center as a human by shifting her focus entirely to her art and remaining in the now and just continuing to create and create, even with an experience as personally devastating as the loss of a child  :( , surely I can do the same with this situation ...

I feel that with everything else going on, I've been a bit remiss lately about being observant of and receptive to all the birds and animals that seemingly stop by our back deck as a sign that I should paint them, as I talked about earlier on this thread. But now that I think about it, Steller's Jays have been showing up for weeks trying to get my attention -- it feels like they would like to be honored with a full power shield with the beads and feathers like I made for the raven, hawk and turkey vulture, but so far, I've only just painted a regular silk hoop of them. Then, the last time we were working in the Gallery on a warm day, with the front door wide open, a big blue-and-white bird flew right into the Gallery, perched on some prints in the bins for a few seconds, stared right at us, then flew back out again. Then later that same day when I walked outside the Gallery for a bit, the same type of bird (maybe even the very same one :D) flew right over my head vocalizing at me. That seemed like another pretty direct hint to me, so I looked it up on line and found out it's a "scrub jay" (aha, another member of that persistent jay family ), so I'd better get busy soon! :colors:

Then, the most dramatic message, seemingly designed to really get my attention back on the birds and my art and my inner connection, was just a couple of nights ago. It had gotten almost totally dark out, so we couldn't see the details very well, but a very large, hawk-like bird we'd never seen before landed on the same branch over our back deck where all the turkey vultures often congregate (as I talked about earlier on this thread). It appeared to have brown wings, but a white head, almost like a bald eagle, but with what looked almost like a black mohawk on the top of his head.  It had quite a calm, confident, conscious presence and sat there for quite a while staring down at us and communing with us. I searched online, and my best guess is that it's an osprey (also known as a seahawk). So there's another one for my list to paint! :colors:

Well, okay, I imagine that's quite enough for one post! One really does need to post ever more frequently to properly keep up with this fast-moving thread! Though I still don't think I've mastered that "quick post" thing yet! :colors:

Hi AquaDeb,
It's not too cold here yet, so the mist when you breathe isn't here yet.....Lol I went to the ice rink and watched my grandaughter learning to skate, she was thrilled with her new white skates.....we all put in to get them.....she really enjoys herself which I think is important.
We went shopping afterwards and we've had dinner. Now it's movie time..... Love lilly xxxx

Hello all you lovelies
Aqua Deb, The gallery situation does sound bad and it does make it more difficult when two of the head "trouble makers are the co-founders... what are you supposed to do then? It really worries me that both you and Ron have experienced feelings of illness even to the point of passing out at these meetings. :( I am sure you probably are already doing this but have you tried placing a dome of, as George would say, "reinforced glad wrap" around you before you go. Okay maybe a nice strong solid light bubble would help, allowing in only good positive vibes and bouncing the rest back in the suppliers face. (Hmmm that didn't sound terribly loving did it... ) I'll say some prayers for both you and Ron and your fellow artists. It sounds like there is no limit to what you all could achieve if the focus of the group was more peaceful and love centered. Please remind us as to when your meetings are coming up and perhaps we all can focus our love and good intentions along with the two of you. I am so sorry that you both are having to go through this...

Lilly, I am sorry that these people have interrupted what was becoming a lovely spiritual time for you and the other members of your meditation group. You are wise to trust your instincts here...Is there any way to find out whether they are planning on attending every meeting without pointedly having to explain why you want to know?
My finger feels great today. all healed! :D I'll just wear my leather gloves the next time. I brought a pair of my favorite leather children's work gloves with me when I came here and I have just about worn them out. Been looking for a new pair in our area but so far I haven't seen anything small enough. I like a pair of gloves to fit when I am working and my hands are so small the ladies size gloves swallow me whole. (The only thing small on this girl! LOL) The job still isn't finished, but we just got a garden waste recycling containers from council which we can begin using on July 1, so I may wait a few weeks closer to the service start up.
Sounds like you are having fun with your little granddaughter. what movie are you watching?

Hi Maria... I always loved a trip to the Smokey Mountains which was only about 45 minutes from where we grew up. During the hot summers it was always ten degrees cooler in those mountains with all the lovely rock filled creeks and river beds. I've seen some interesting animals there ..beautiful salamanders (it is home to one of the largest salamanders on earth nick named "hell benders" here is an image of one to show their size.
www.flickr.com/.../in/set-72157594588039458/

I do miss my family so much at times....but thank goodness for the internet. makes it easier to keep in touch with friends and loved one. In many ways we are so fortunate to live in these times, don't you think? I am finding it is slowly getting easier being away from the U.S and my family. I think it just takes a little time... Australia is so beautiful and being a newbie here does have some advantages. About everywhere I turn there is something new to see and learn.

Enjoy your week end everybody...

Good Morning Sandy,
Well we didn't end up watching any movies......we played a game called Ker plunk.. marbles rest on little sticks threaded through a cylinder and you take turns pulling out a stick. The one with the least marbles in their tray at the end is the winner..... I only won once....drat... We all just hung out and listened to music and had snacks.......
We've just had egg, bacon, tomato and mushrooms for breakfast.....I bake the tomatoes slowly in the oven with the mushrooms, drizzled with olive oil, black pepper and sea salt. The kids love it, so does the dog, she gets the scraps. They are a handful when together......but they are a lot of fun, too.
Some of the things they come out with are very funny.....especially my grandaughter........she shoots from the hip, hates being told what to do, Nan usually wins....on a good day. She sets those eyes on you and digs the heels in, sometimes saying the most awful things....A couple of the others at skating seemed the same, must be a new breed....(We daren't look sideways at my Mum). I must say she does say sorry later.....Lol
Have to go, she's just set up another game of ker plunk...... here we go.
Love lilly xxxxx

Hi Dear Friends,

An update on the Gallery situation: At 10:30pm last night, the remaining co-founder's "henchman" (who had previously seemed like a nice, reasonable guy on the outside, so we had all been surprised when he began backing her up in the first place) sent out such an astonishingly vicious and over-the-top negative email directed at one of the other members (who then quit) that it was just the last straw -- it's just too poisonous an environment to continue to be a part of. So this morning, Ron and I removed our art from the Gallery in the morning before it opened, then announced that we were quitting too.

We called all our allies who were still in the Gallery first to let them know in advance that we were planning to leave, and had very positive conversations with each of them -- everyone is sad to see us go, and we all agreed we wished it could have been different :( (a much more positive, supportive, peaceful and love-centered environment, like you said, Sandy -- that's what we were all hoping it would be when we first signed up. )

One of our allies happens to be the Gallery treasurer, so she even drove to our house to bring us a check immediately for all our sales to date :happy, and she said that we were probably the first or second highest-selling member in the gallery :colors: (Ron and I shared one membership). She also said that even though some of them still plan to try to remain in the Gallery and keep it going for now, if it ends up falling through and a subset of them create a new venue elsewhere, they'll be sure to call us and ask us to join. :D So we left on a very good note with the folks who matter the most to us. :happy

The "henchman" tried to call an emergency meeting this afternoon, which we later heard that only a few folks attended, during which they all severely admonished him for sending that horrible email, and he returned to his "nice guy" persona again and apologized profusely. They spent a couple of hours convincing him not to keep doing the co-founder's dirty work as well, so who knows -- he may be opening to change, at least :finger: , and he could use some prayers. The co-founder, however, seems firmly set in her negative ways :ncool:, and probably needs prayers and healing more than anybody; it seems that she's on a very self-destructive path at present.

At any rate, I couldn't sleep last night after reading that email, and alternately lay in bed palm-healing myself, got up and wrote in my journal, talked to the I Ching, and looked on the computer. Sandy, I must have "heard" you send your last post, because once when I felt the urge to get up at around 3:50am and check my email, it turned out that you'd just posted about 10 minutes earlier! And getting your message of concern was so comforting right then! :happy Thank you, dear sis!

Then I did the Akashic Construct meditation and just sat in there and put a triple shield around myself, which allowed me to finally fall asleep for a bit. :happy

Ron and I both had in fact been putting up shields of the general sort you described at those meetings, but we were still being affected that much , so that must be just how much negativity was flying around there!

We're both feeling some grief over the whole Gallery thing  , but it also feels like we did the right thing. I've been getting tons of prompts all day yesterday (especially :22's -- thank you, Bzutu! :happy), all night when I couldn't sleep, and all day today, so I think that's another message that we're on the right track. Even when I was packing up stuff at the Gallery this morning, the clock in the electronic credit-card machine read 10:33am. :)

Heather, glad to hear you're feeling better! :colors:

Lilly, sounds like you've been having a fun time with your grandkids! Ker plunk reminds me of lots of similar games we used to play as kids -- we loved those kinds of games! :D

Well, everyone, I'm really tired; I think I'm going to have to go to bed early tonight and catch up on my sleep!...

Love to all LUV2,
Aqua Deb
