We could have been killed last night

Last night I was driving on the freeway, traffic was flowing along at 65 mph. I'm usually a safe driver, but a billboard caught my eye and what it said didn't make sense to me. I looked at it again, obviously for longer than I should have. As I looked back at the road, I realized that my car was changing to the right lane but I was not doing this purposefully. Just then my son yelled "What was that?" and I looked to the left, the lane I had just gotten out of, and saw that we were passing something huge. I did not see it until we were passing it. I looked into the rearview mirrow and saw that it was a washing machine that had obviously fallen out of a truck! My car steered around it as if I had seen it from a distance, but I didn't. As the whole thing was over before I really knew what was happening, I didn't even have time to get scared, but afterwards I was so amazed, knowing that my life had just been saved by an angel. Going that fast, with lots of cars on the road, hitting that machine could have caused a terrible crash. Wow, what an experience. I was saying "Thank you, thank you" all evening, and this morning.
