the mind is a zoo and someone
has unlocked all the cages.
moon,
what is it you have done
that some nights you must hide your face?
starlight has crept into
every corner,
do you see it?
a silver haunting.
this is what it looks like
when the past comes back
on bright, fierce paws,
to play with
the present.
