Her Name is Love

I don’t know how to tell you this…but,
I’ve been seeing someone else.
She lives nearby.
Actually, she is someone you know.
She is my swimming instructor.
I don’t want to tell you her name,
not yet – but it starts with an “L”
She is beautiful and loving,
mysterious and wise.
I’m intoxicated.
I’m spellbound.
I cannot resist her.
She casted her net
into the waters where I swam.
She changed me.
She became me.
I became her.
She then released me.
These new waters feel different.
EVERYTHING feels different.
I now swim in these new waters
where the human mixes with the divine,
sometimes floating—
sometimes panicking –
sometimes swimming upstream –
sometimes drifting –
sometimes joyfully splashing
sometimes sinking –
and sometimes…drowning.
I’ll be taking lessons from her
for the rest of my life.
She sounds incredible, doesn’t she?
She is.
She is beyond incredible.
She is beyond the beyond.
Don’t be angry or jealous.
I didn’t mean for this to happen,
…but it was destined to be.
Her name is Love,
and I am in love with her.
I confess…
I’m having a love affair with Love itself.
