'How The Light Gets Out' — a poem by Leonard Cohen

Post any poetry here. It's just too hard to define "inspired" in this context, so we will settle for that which inspires.

'How The Light Gets Out' — a poem by Leonard Cohen

‘How The Light Gets Out’

Our own dishonesty
holds a mask up
to the world.

A counterfeit
burden with
saddening
consequence.

But soon enough
there appears
a crack in
every one.

That’s how
the light
gets out.
