Where The Wild Things Go — by Skylar Liberty Rose

Post any poetry here. It's just too hard to define "inspired" in this context, so we will settle for that which inspires.

For me, this poem is a call for freedom for the soul to expand and shape and experience wonders that are around us every day but for whatever reason we haven't the eyes to see.

These bits spoke soundly to my child's heart as I leaped and ran and slid and experienced, barefoot and brown as a berry, my own version of "the hundred acre woods."
I want to lie clothed
But be bare
Under a sea of stars
That whisper my name

I want to taste the breeze
And outrun the wind
Until I am certain
That freedom is mine

I want to seek all the colours
That are not found on the rainbow
And ask if they too
Feel bright and loved

I want to roam to the place
Where the wild things go
Into the forest of dreams
Under the blanket of clouds
I felt this way then and knew how to just "be" in all its glory!
To recapture this on a moment to moment basis would be a gift better then a room full of gold.
Thank you Welles! :sunflower:
Love,
Sandy
