"
Ketogenic diets are low on carbs and high on fat, which puts the body in a state of ketosis,
a metabolic state that happens when your body doesn’t have enough carbohydrates
for your cells to burn for energy. So, instead, it burns fat." (your own and fat you eat)
"Basically, with this (
Paleo) diet you’re looking at meals that could either be hunted or gathered —
lean meats, fish, vegetables, nuts and seeds" (hunting/gathering in grocery stores permitted)
"The
Alkaline diet approves of most fruits and vegetables, nuts, legumes, soybeans and tofu.
These are foods that are alkaline" (the animal friendly diet)
"
Whole30 encourages people to eat foods with as few ingredients as possible, and all those ingredients
should be substances you know and can pronounce. A head of broccoli? Go for it." (3 syllables)
"Think of the
Flexitarian diet as vegetarian with a lot of cheat days." (food cheatin')
"An extraordinarily dramatized version of his (
Lectin-free) theory is that plants are waging war
against us so we don’t eat them and we’re too dumb to adjust our diets." ("Feed me Seymore")
The
Mediterranean diet "encourages a glass of red wine every now and then."
(probably not true: "now" = afternoon, "then" = evening)
Then there's
Dumpster Diving,
Eat What You Want,
Go to Mom's House,
Dollar Store, and the
Fast Life (don't eat) diets.

Fast 800 5/2 - A new one with a concept flaw:
Number of calories (e.g. 800) should be tailored to the dieter (a dietician could calculate
this number, based on important variables ... whatever they are).

Finally, calories consumed relate directly to the types/portions of food;
the Serving Size Diet is still waiting for popularity (a diet similar to this:
https://www.webmd.com/diet/ss/slideshow-serving-sizes )
