So I have rescently began my journey. It's been amazing so far honestly. I have been meditating pre-REM sleep as for some reason I hear voices before I completely doze off. This happened pre 11:11. Anyway, I've noticed these voices are far more sophisticated at times to be hypnagogic hallucinations. Mostly what I hear is random bits of conversation that are hard to understand, but occasionally I hear amazing words of encouragement or beautiful, logical, and analogous phrases that make sense of something troubling me.

Sorry for going off topic, but rescently I started hearing the name Alex... incessantly. Even have prompts of the name while awake. Could this be the name of a guide? I personally don't know anyone named Alex. It has been puzzling me for a few days.

Welcome to the forum. To answer your first question- Does anyone else get prompted with words or names, Yes. A bit of what your experiencing reminds me of astral projection. Not that I understand what astral projection means but i've experienced your "symptoms." I think your experience is lovely. Usually my own fears and restlessness bring my awareness back to immediate reality. Typically after I hear a name I am back. What you're describing seems very open, courageous and I admire your post. Definitely not off topic... This is the place to discuss these sort of things. Is it a guide ? Not sure... I can't answer that one.

=) Not much of an answer for you but over time I'm confident your personality will come to understand this experience better... Someone shared this with me... Trust in the works of your inner mythology. Something like that...

Thank you for your response.

I'm familiar with astral projection. I'm convinced it happens every time I sleep but am usually "unaware". I had an extremely terrifying (at the time) out of body experience when I was about 16, lasted only a few seconds and I actually felt and visually saw myself floating towards my ceiling fan. Ever since then I've firmly believed in spirituality. It's happened only one other time, but It is so hard to control without regaining wakefulness, like you said.

I actually had a conversation with my artsy friend who is deeply into AP. She explained to me her "theory" as in how she is more capable. Right brained people are able to construct images in their mind more easily than left brained people. Which correlates with how most right brained people are artistic.

Anyway, thank you for the Advice! I hope I find the answer to this "Alex" soon.

Joshy yes I understand what your saying! In the beginning I would always hear the name Marc!!

I decided to go for a drive one day and came across a sign that said Saint Marc and the words " guardian marc" came!

I also hear conversations in the distance between people but I can never understand them, so clearly heard but not understood!! When I clean I often hear harmonics and it brings such a relaxing feeling.

I am sure you will have many other experiences, enjoy and learn each lesson they teach.

Welcome! I love Eric and Saraflow's (Nancy's) response to your question about the name you have been hearing as well as reading the fascinating happenings in your life. So many of us share these experiences to some degree or another and I think we will deepen and grow in understanding as we relax and allow for slow, steady enlightenment. The best kind always seems to come from within us so I suspect as you ask within the answer to the name you heard, you too will find the answer just as Nancy did with marc. (Love that story)
So let's be watchful for the answers we need. A good reminder Nancy, thank you!

I came across the sign by total accident! I got lost but I kept hearing over the bridge over the bridge! So I went over the bridge seen the sign and found my way thanks to my guardian!
