Happy Spring/Autumn Equinox

Post by Sandy »

:flower: Happy Spring Equinox everybody up North! :flower:
I know you guys in the Northern Hemisphere are coming out of a really tough snowy cold winter in many places. So today I celebrate with you even if I am sitting on the bottom half of the planet and heading for Autumn!

Hey thanks Sandy!!

The signs of spring are really showing this past week here. In the 70 and 80's + high humidity
More critters out and about
Louder noise of bugs at night
The foliage turning greener
Wasps nesting everywhere
Heavy doses of mosquitos!

Overall, I really missed the spring here and happy to see no more snow. It feels more like a summer already and I love it
from those of us down under
haha!!
Happy Autumn to you! It's a treat to consider your so far away in distance that your experiencing different seasons at the same time

Sandy, we just had a partial sun eclipse in Europe yesterday. It was awesome. Only about 68% of the sun area was covered where I live, but it still felt quite strange. The sunlight had a blue hue into it. The folks in the UK got about 90% coverage. It must have been even greater spectacle for them.

It is quite unusual to have a solar eclipse on the day of spring equinox.

Here is how it looked from an airplane. An insane shot showing full eclipse. To the left is area covered by partial eclipse and to the right is the area experiencing totality. Insane shot.
