On the 8th day God woke up...

Post by I-AM »

On the 8th day God woke up, created Water Lily and said to Adam and Eve: "Behold, perfection!"

A local man I've recently purchased 4 chili plants from has a pond next to his house. This time of the year it is full of blooming water lilies. Could not resist. Had to take a few pictures and share it with you.

I printed the 5th one big and soon will be hanging it on my wall!

Those are all winners! #5 would edge the others by just a tiny fraction in my favorite rating too! :bana:

They are all real stunners! It would be so hard to decide on a favourite...But probably #4 and #5.
Thanks Robert! It is always a joy to be invited into your world for a time via your photos. :D

Sandy, do you remember me trying to grow a new Dahlia last year?

It did not work, the plant would never grow properly or bloom, for some strange reason. I had to throw it away.

Guess so, I gave it a second try this year. Bought a new bulb and planted it in early April.

Well, for once the packaging did not lie... :hithere

This is what they are showing on the packaging (last year's picture)...

And this is what I got today morning after, finally, the first flower opened up...

I believe this is the most beautiful Dahlia out there. And it looks exactly as advertised... :hithere The only bad thing is that it does not smell at all. Unlike my other Dahlia (Paso Doble), which does smell nicely.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Robert I do believe your flower is even more gorgeous then the one shown on the package. I do remember your great hope for the new dahlia last year. I am so sorry that one did not do well. It always pains me a little to loose any of my plants. Your Dahlia photo would be another great one to show off on your wall like your water lilly. ;) :)
love,
Sandy
