How do you not take love for granted? Where can you begin to accept & appreciate what someone is saying is for real?

Give Love. Learning to quiet the dialog in your mind is one good approach. When we attain that emotional balance it allows us to be in the present moment. In the Now our consciousness resides in the heart and allows us to appreciate Love as a dynamic energy in which we are a participants.

Yes...being able to "Be Love" is helpful... "to participate" as you described it. (Love that ) Perhaps it is easier in this state to recognize Love in its many outworkings around us as well as to be less concerned as to our own accuracy or inaccuracy...don't know...
