Maybe Henry could accompany you to a bar where (in dim light) you would be seen as "taken"
and not be chatted up incessantly. Be sure to dress Henry in convincing clothes. ;)

OMG! The school district is rewarding the children - not punishing them (nutritionally speaking).

 Good tips about weight loss, especially ...

- the brain needs carbs for its fuel - not protein or fat!
- weight loss is 80% nutrition (less calories) and 20% exercise
- eating at night is like eating at any other time of day

 Personal experience:
1) the body resists weight loss for several weeks but eventually
accepts the exercise and fewer calories, then weight starts dropping.
2) muscle has weight - anticipate less weight loss with "body building"

"Have a bowl of ice cream (any kind) 2 hours after your workout."
:bana: Advice, too easy to follow :!:

This article discusses how thin men (and women?) can add muscle
and emphasizes the need for sufficient protein every day!
Diabetics need to be cautious about the recommended carbs.

 Summary: If you're workin' out but not gaining much muscle,
consider increasing daily protein consumed (but this article
is intended for intense body building). ;)

"WW describes Kurbo as 'a scientifically-proven behavior change program' for kids between the ages of 8 and 17,
dietitians, nutritionists, and advocacy organizations have expressed concern that using the app could lead
toward an unhealthy relationship with food, or even toward an eating disorder."

 A better app would teach relationship of food consumption (and lack of exercise) to weight.
The app might use carnival style mirrors to demonstrate different weights (using the child's silouhette or photo),
instruct on food consumption necessary to obtain/maintain that weight, and provide tips for decreasing/increasing weight.

Of course, parental guidance would be required to integrate family perspective on the app's information ...
and the app might be popular with adults concerned about their own weight. ;)

"But scientists are warning that eating too much flaxseed could cause cyanide poisoning. Also known as linseed, it is rich in fibre, omega-3 fatty acids and micronutrients, and in the current trend is added to breakfast cereal or blended into smoothies. But the seeds also contain a naturally occurring compound called amygdalin, a type of ‘cyanogenic glycoside’ that can produce cyanide gas as it degrades."

:? Such a mysterious health food! If not chewed (or pre-ground), flaxseeds go out the way they came in.
Best guess: Be cautious about about over-consumption and keep the flaxseed (or meal) refrigerated.

"lawmakers are cursing now more than ever"

 Not to worry! Current curse words are trite, getting stagnant from overuse (and longtime use).
New words need to be created! But what :?: :!:

 Decades ago, as a pre-teen, I decided not to curse ... but would say "Bosco!" instead.
Then I learned that my private curse word was the name of a chocolate syrup.
Somehow, "Bosco!" was a sweet "expletive deleted" disconnect.

:bana: Eventually, I reasoned that I didn't have to say anything - just deal with it (the event).
Besides, I didn't want to be one of my peer-level cursing herd (even now). ;)

... and today, all you have to say is "Like he/she said!" since cursing is so common.
WTF :?: :!: Even "bomb" in "F..bomb" is a discussion No-No at the airport. :duh
