(a comment) "This kind of thing is not welcome in our neighborhood." :o

 Apparently, this kind of Seinfield comedy ...
as clearly expressed by his choice of business name :!:

(another comment) "Seinfield would have protested

 Best Guess: Soup 'n Seuss Kitchen
would have suffered similar protest.

Re: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/casu ... index.html
"Casu marzu: The world's 'most dangerous' cheese"

"The Italian island of Sardinia sits in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea ... (where) shepherds produce casu marzu,
a maggot-infested cheese that, in 2009, the Guinness World Record proclaimed the world's most dangerous cheese."

"Cheese skipper flies, Piophila casei, lay their eggs in cracks that form in cheese, usually fiore sardo, the island's salty pecorino. Maggots hatch, making their way through the paste, digesting proteins in the process, and transforming the product into a soft creamy cheese. Then the cheesemonger cracks open the top -- which is almost untouched by maggots -- to scoop out a spoonful of the creamy delicacy."

:bana: A good Bucket List item but bring your own bucket (in case you're not fond of these proteins).

 If it's going to be called a dog (or canine) shouldn't it have a tail?
However, this is a new creature that should be given a breed name. 8)

A contest comes to mind :!: The sound of "feline" and "canine"
suggests that a robotic animal be called a "Robine".

"The house was created as an 'NFT' or 'non-fungible token'.* These new digital objects are similar
to cryptocurrencies ... in that they rely on complex blockchains and don’t physically exist."

* unique and can't be replaced with something else, like another bitcoin.

 Apparently, a unique bitcoin (exists only as a number) with an equally unique artistic image.
That other people want this unique object gives it greater bidding value. Investors in NFTs assume
that others will want them sufficiently to pay more than original price. The old pyramid game,
now digital, and successful at first because a "greater fool" usually buys next.

"Thousands blow $1,400 stimulus checks in Vegas after Nevada lifts restrictions and the Strip roars back to life" :o

 That's why it's called "stimulus" - what the government intends for the economy (but will collect taxes later
to repay this borrowed money). Las Vegas is good association - people who win usually "reinvest" in more gambling.

This easy money might also explain the recent NFT buying craze (Non-Fungible Token):
digital files such as art, audio, videos, items in video games and other creative work.

she said in response to a series of emailed questions from The Providence Journal.

 A bit unwise for this professor to associate transgenders with QAnon,

"(U.S.) is considering taxing drivers by the MILE to fund their $9 trillion climate-friendly infrastructure proposal"

 Cost sharing seems fair (all drivers pay for climate change improvements).
Taxing consumers according to excess weight (food production/transportation
also contributes to climate change problems) would be complementary. ;)

But commercial vehicles will find ways to pass costs onto consumers,
such as higher grocery store costs, higher gasoline prices,
higher online delivery charges, etc., etc. :o

A proposal with excellent trickle down potential!

is a person's true sex, despite their later preference for a different sex.
And a child cannot express such preference until it learns to speak.

"(U.S.) to Strengthen Protections for People Who Entered US Illegally as Children"

 Countries seem more concerned about costs of accepting illegal immigration
since free medical care, housing, tuition, and food is often provided;
that diseases may be carried into the country is also a concern. ;)

 Best guess: Illegal immigration is acceptable to the extent that taxpayers
are effectively willing to contribute to these costs. If pandemic stimulus payments
are a pattern, taxpayers are content to let the government borrow money for this
and let future taxpayers reimburse with their taxes.

Tip: The wealthy and businesses usually find ways
to let their tax increases trickle down to other taxpayers :!:

"Can Artificial Intelligence Replace Human Therapists?"

 This might be like hypnotism - some people can't be hypnotized - and others would need to stop thinking of AI as a machine before they can interact sufficiently to get benefit. But knowing that your subconscious mind is always "just around the corner" hints that many of life's events can be "hypnotic" (tap into your suggestibility ... like product/service marketing).

 See also: https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-hypnosis-2795921
"What Is Hypnosis?"

"Hypnosis is a trance-like mental state in which people experience increased attention, concentration, and suggestibility. While hypnosis is often described as a sleep-like state, it is better expressed as a state of focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid fantasies. People in a hypnotic state often seem sleepy and zoned out, but in reality, they are in a state of hyper-awareness."

See also: https://medium.com/@inspireyourselflc/h ... 5d8b8e7273
"How To Hypnotize Someone Without Them Knowing in Seconds"

"When you tell a story, people start unconsciously picturing things and constructing the story in their heads. They’re not consciously aware of things around them anymore, they’re basically in their head, now you’re in hypnosis. They unconsciously start making parallels, or similarities in our head between the story and their lives. You then lead them to an ending that best helps them." :finger:

 Hmmm ... even social media (and media in general) is always telling stories! ;)
