"$21 for Christmas dinner at home? One mother-in-law is charging"

 A simple explanation (before anything is purchased) that the host cannot afford the expense but is willing to do the work and be host
might encourage a few donors to share the cost. After all, it IS quite a treat to dine in a private home where many guests were invited
and where the preparation (plus later cleanup) for a holiday meal is someone else's problem.

Re: https://observer.com/2018/11/sex-robots ... real-doll/

"You Can Sleep With the Latest Sex Robots at This Brothel — But Only if They Say ‘Yes’" :finger:

Despite the context, this technology suggests future training programs where rejection/"attack", for any of life's challenges, is experienced and emotionally defused. Practical example: a single child who did not have siblings to cause pre-adult challenges where this experience would later minimize stress in the real world. 8)

 Entrepreneur Alert:
Create a web site where new authors can submit serious writing (or samples) to have it rejected with believable feedback. This might help the author 1). Refine their work before actual submission to an editor. 2). Desensitize the author for future rejection when the quality of their work is not necessarily the cause of rejection (e.g., content not desired by the publisher, author is not well-known, etc.). ;)

Another example of training (an idea from a movie): "You can't handle the truth!"
This verbal shout could also be a sex robot's response to ... whatever.
Or "Not tonight - I have a headache!" (but I digress) :)

Her permission was requested but the continuing audit trail of her searches is potentially accessible on her phone, as well as on other related internet components, when desired by proper authorities ... and sometimes by hackers who know how to peer inside databases and "private records." :o

"University of Sydney researchers found the first reported case of a honeybee with absolutely no genetic material from a mother."

See also: https://www.orkin.com/stinging-pests/be ... -bee-eggs/ 8)

:geek: Analysis: Honeybee life cycles suggest that the "two fathers" gynandromorph bee was created from sperm and egg,

(Dr. Grinspoon) "I have nothing against spirituality if it helps someone, but it shouldn't be something you force on a professional.
Science should be the necessary component and faith should be complementary."

New perspective on public touch screens ...
(and anything else requiring human touch, like phones, keyboards, and currency). :o

Re: https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/mcdo ... y-bacteria

"Metro swabbed kiosks in eight restaurants in the UK and found traces of gut bacteria on every single one of them.

"One kiosk was even found to have Staphylococcus, a contagious bacteria that can cause blood poisoning
and even toxic shock syndrome.

"Diners use the touchscreen kiosks, which have been rolled out to restaurants across the world, to order their food
in a bid to speed up the process. :finger:

"The poop particles and other bacteria are similar to those found on your phone after you take it to the bathroom with you." ;)

 While the mixing of cultures and societal groups - worldwide - seems spiritually beneficial, not all cultures and groups practice similar hygiene, perhaps explaining how some touchscreens might be more problematic than expected ... like those in restaurants that have bathrooms.

Open the public restroom door with your hands when leaving? At least, you washed your hands. ;)
Also, in any related health emergency, we now know what not to do (touch without protection).

 Hearing today that Michael Jackson did not invent the Moonwalk,

impromptu research and applied logic ... :finger:

 This black & white video gives evidence that walking on the moon
was not a common believable long before the Apollo 11 Mission (1969).

While this backward slide was performed decades ago, 8)
the dance name "Moonwalk" seems a later creation,
perhaps popularized by Michael Jackson! ;)

First, about chocolate ...

"At high levels, cocoa flavanols have been shown to help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, improve cognition
and possibly lower the risk of diabetes. But limit your portions to about 1 ounce a day." ;)

 Caution: "Flavanols" is the operative word - not the sugar and fat added to (or permitted in) most chocolate.

Back to pizza ...

"what is it specifically about pizza that makes it so universally craved?"

 ... not to mention all the good times, people, and places oft associated with those irresistible wedges (or whatever).

Lotsa different perspective for this "controversy", such as ...

- a U.S. President should represent all religions (reciting the Apostles' Creed identifies Christians).
- it is often beneficial to listen to what's being said rather than reading words (not necessarily listening).
- the service was to honor a departed leader - not to promote his religion.

"Sinclair deemed them to have religious significance. 'Historically, the shape is a 'J' for Jesus.
The red is for the blood of Christ, and the white is a symbol of his resurrection" :o

However ... https://www.whychristmas.com/customs/candycanes.shtml

 So it's true :!: 'J' is an inverted candy cane (and so is the 'J-Shape' controversy):

"a choirmaster, in 1670, was worried about the children sitting quietly all through the long Christmas nativity service. So he gave them something to eat to keep them quiet! As he wanted to remind them of Christmas, he made them into a 'J' shape like a shepherds crook, to remind them of the shepherds that visited the baby Jesus at the first christmas." 8)

 Some people even suspect candy canes were invented by a dentist named Jubilee
so that dentists would get more cavities to fill the next year - a financial Jubilee :!:
