Re: World Views
I'm thinking about Andrew McFarland. http://board.1111angels.com/viewtopic.p ... 00#p203222 Such a delicate situation he finds himself...with all kinds of complications perhaps for the child. I think if he felt so strongly about the Father term and sees himself in that way. Then be the father figure to the beautiful baby you have birthed and who cares what birth certificate says... Obviously many single parents find themselves in both roles. What is of most importance is the family you create and how much a child is loved and nurtured. The print on the paper is only one definition of this family and certainly not the most important one.
Thanks for encouraging my "little gray cells" to think about issues affecting fellow humans and even outside the norm of human condition.

Re: World Views
Taking probiotics to complement the destruction of beneficial bacteria by antibiotics has been common medical advice in recent years.
But now this study suggests that fiber from food is just as important as probiotics:
Re: https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-11- ... otics.html
"A more practical strategy to aid recovery is to provide the good bacteria in your gut with their preferred source of nutrition: fibre. Fibrous compounds pass undigested through the small intestine and into the colon, where they act as fuel for bacterial fermentation. So if you're taking antibiotics or have recently finished a course, make sure you eat plenty of vegetables, fruit and whole grains."

"Crying babies are the bane of many air travelers’ existence. And one airline is making it easier
to put some distance between you and a tike throwing a tantrum."
Unruly kids (and unruly adults) can make a multi-hour flight miserable, especially if one is stressed by business, family matters, etc.
The great constraint being that it's not easy to change seats on a plane like it is on most public transportation (or in restaurants, movies,
sport events, or wherever). Noise-canceling headphones might help ... if you're not being jostled or kicked from behind.
Re: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/pare ... index.html
Good discussion about such problems ... however "You're the problem!"
is true only if you quietly tolerate a problem that could have a solution.

"'Pedo guy' is a 'common insult used in South Africa when I was growing up,' the billionaire said in a declaration.
'It is synonymous with ‘creepy old man’ and is used to insult a person’s appearance and demeanor,
not accuse a person of acts of pedophilia.'"
Reasonable explanation, but still inappropriate (and a bit late) for a rescuer of the children.
Nevertheless, the mini submarine concept seems worth pursuing (for other water rescue attempts).
A quick apology from Musk, then hiring the PG to help re-engineer a better sub might be
the best compromise at this juncture.
Better perspective: While Musk may have wanted the glory,
"50 of his best engineers" were focused on the technical challenge.

Ah, yes! THAT Biscayne Bay ...
... where my friend and I (pre-teens) had our first Bay Baptismal off his uncle's boat: Trying water skis for the first time (both of us), my friend was soon off his, underwater, having forgotten to let go of the tow line when he fell; he surfaced a few yards later sans life jacket.
"Not to worry!" said the captain when it was my turn - "the shark we spotted was a mile away!"
Having quickly calculated that "a mile away" is just long enough for a shark to put on his dinner bib, I feigned beginner's clumsiness (at least, that was my excuse ; - ) and quickly fell off the skis - "up and over" ... and back to the boat, never again to "water ski".

Surreal technology! Just imagine a future day of Teslation ...
Send your Tesla to drop off the dry cleaning, run through the car wash, fetch the groceries ordered online,
and pick up the babysitter. And turn on the camera for your son to monitor the route on his video watch.
Incidentally, the babysitter will be a robot, named Tessie.
"Why does that matter? The Tessie models are very reliable!"
She's programmed to be a different race and religion today.
"Why does that matter? The Tessie models are congenial."
This Tessie will take prayer breaks.

Oh my Rod, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if what you envisage comes to pass in perhaps the not so far off future. So much has changed in the past 30 years. In some ways it is all rather shocking to this happy to "write on slate" lady. I've truly already been left behind but all is no lost as I slowly and inefficiently follow technology's trail of breadcrumbs.

But this hints that a shower before clean sheets is best ...
as well as another shower before clean clothes tomorrow.
Tip: Daily bacteria is required to keep our immune system stimulated.
No-shower weekends might help (go to a hotel and use their sheets).

For lifting heavy luggage in your Uber service, muscle endurance is best.
