Re: World Views
Say what? "HIV is not communicable"
Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... order.html
"HIV positive parents will be separated from their children at the border,
even though HIV was taken OFF the communicable diseases list by the CDC in 2010"
About HIV (the disease) and AIDS (later symptoms):
https://www.avert.org/about-hiv-aids/what-hiv-aids
"HIV is found in semen, blood, vaginal and anal fluids, and breastmilk.
HIV can’t be transmitted through sweat, saliva or urine."
But HIV is still communicable via some body fluids!
The distinction: HIV is no longer a reason to reject an immigrant:
https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehea ... al-qa.html
So ... the CDC rule change suggests that HIV is treatable.

These stories about health-destroying bacteria suggest that having good health (including good weight, etc.)

Re: https://www.foxnews.com/health/apples-e ... ty-austria
"People who throw away their apple cores without ingesting the seeds could drop the number of microbes they consume from more than 100 million to 10 million, the study said. Researchers also found that organic apples have more bacteria in general and have more beneficial bacteria compared to non-organic apples."
"Apple seeds contain a chemical compound called amygdalin, which creates the poison cyanide when the seeds are crushed and eaten. You’d need to crush hundreds of apple seeds, significantly more than the amount found in one apple, and consume them in order for the cyanide to be dangerous, the morning show reported."
See also: https://www.cyanidecode.org/cyanide-fac ... th-effects
"Cyanide does not accumulate or biomagnify, so chronic exposure to sublethal concentrations of cyanide does not appear to result in acute toxicity. However, chronic cyanide poisoning has been observed in individuals whose diet includes significant amounts of cyanogenic plants such as cassava."
Analysis: Since 10 million beneficial microbes (if not eating apple seeds) is still significant, skipping seed consumption seems reasonable. Besides, the lactobacillus bacteria is available in other foods, like good yogurt.

More about faux meat ...
Re: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... -processed
“We have spoken to those folks and unfortunately it wouldn’t fit in our ‘food with integrity’ principles because of the processing, as I understand it, that it takes to make a plant taste like a burger,” Niccol said in an interview. “If there’s a way for them to do this that would match our ‘food with integrity’ principles, I’m sure we would continue talking with them.”
Indirect support for the perspective that veggie patties are good
Faux meat patties are not (because of necessary "processing")

Incidentally, how would the IRS know about "anonymous" investments ?!
They're not "out of network", considering government/banking tracking mechanisms.
And assume that other governments are preparing to get their fair shares.

"The woman was particularly explosive in her criticism of one female

Apparently, the complaining woman was really ranting about the long lines at DW
and selected the short shorts millennial as the scapegoat (for creating a longer line
and for "teasing" her child with a pretzel by letting him see it).
Been there! Done that! (at that same park a few decades ago ...

And when you get to the counters, you'll ask for "whatever".

"People are increasingly trying to reduce their meat intake for health and environmental reasons. Beyond Meat's products, designed to mimic a variety of meats, have proven to be an attractive alternative to the real thing."
Somebody's buying the concept (and the product) ... apparently.
And there's another faux meat! Here are the ingredients of these two:
https://www.cnet.com/news/beyond-meat-v ... ifference/
"The bottom line is that both of these companies have created a 'burger' in a lab, made from only plant products and designed to emulate the taste and texture of real beef. Your comfort level with that depends on your stance on food engineering"
With the ingredients not so appealing (relative to real food), increasing sales seem to reflect customer indifference to the ingredients. "Where's the beef?" is a question answered somehow or no longer being asked (i.e., real food is unimportant to these consumers).
Or maybe, "burger" is a lifetime concept with accumulated fond memories (parties, picnics, barbecues) and as long as the memories are maintained (with the supporting extras like buns, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sauce), faux meat is still perceived as the real mooo.
