"One person confessed taking flights to see their son across the country. 'I fly to see my son on the west coast. I live on the east'"

 Bingo! This person acknowledges that mass transportation (planes, ships, trains, large trucks) all are significant contributors
to climate change ... as well as electricity generation for lighting, heating, cooling, and business/technology. ;)

;) Obviously, this is how we would contribute effectively: use less of these services ...
then watch the economy tumble, but not for shoes (walking) and bicycles.

"Between 0.5% and 1.7% of the global population is born with intersex traits, which means a person does not have typical male-female sex characteristics, according to the United Nations. Some intersex traits are visibly evident, such as ambiguous genitalia, while there are a number of others which involve genetic, hormonal or anatomical differences."

 At least, "intersex" (meaning not explicitly male or female) is easier to comprehend than the 58 genders now proffered:

"Despite westerners being lectured by climate activists like Greta Thunberg, a study has found that around 90 per cent of plastic waste polluting earth’s oceans comes from Asia and Africa.

"While westerners are being told to alter their lifestyles and have fewer children to save the planet, virtually nothing is being said about or to the people in the countries responsible for the vast majority of pollution.

"This is probably one of the main reasons why many in the West remain skeptical about the true motives of the environmentalist movement."

 At least, the West now knows that it can focus on its 10 per cent of the plastic waste ...
but 10 per cent seems insignificant relative to the dire predictions of imminent doom.

Well, we learned a few months ago that huge amount of plastic waste is sent to Asia from Australia that is not being recycled and dumped for one reason or another. Western or far Southern hands are not clean of this plastic debacle.
Thankfully Australians are really jumping into this '" lets limit our plastic use. " It isn't hard...just takes making certain things a habit. good common sense kind of stuff.

"Scientists turn mung beans into scrambled eggs - but without the cholesterol"

:o While mung beans are quite nutritious ... as beans, the egg/cholesterol issue is very old myth -
cholesterol in eggs is not a problem: https://www.health.harvard.edu/heart-he ... art-health

"for most people, an egg a day does not increase your risk of a heart attack, a stroke, or any other type of cardiovascular disease. No more than three eggs per week* is wise if you have diabetes, are at high risk for heart disease from other causes (smoking), or already have heart disease."
* egg whites do not contain cholesterol ;)

"research has shown that most of the cholesterol in our body is made by our liver-it doesn't come from cholesterol we eat. The liver is stimulated to make cholesterol primarily by saturated fat and trans fat in our diet, not dietary cholesterol"

"Spam Pumpkin Spice 'features a blend of seasonal spices including cinnamon, clove, allspice and nutmeg'" 8)

 Or liberally dust slices of your cooking spam from the cupboard with Pumpkin Spice.

In fact, have a Pumpkin Spice Week where everything you eat is spiced just to see what's really special.
Start with vanilla ice cream and toss in pecans just to get in the spirit. And have Pumpkin Spice Coffee.

Then there's Pumpkin Spice sprinkled on whipped cream over fried spam.
Makes a tempting Spam Sundae, Mondae, Tuesdae, ... :roll

Good discussion of "cimate change" proposals:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3780908/posts

"We are best served by 'un-brainwashing' ourselves about climate change — that is, dispensing with the hyperbole and nescience that distract from reality. The drumbeat of the apocalypse may demand responses, especially from politicians; so far it has not elicited the right ones."

 Of course, personally using less energy and being more eco-friendly can help ;)

Oh! the messages and symbolism of dreams!
A straight friend recently shared his dream where a male gay friend long ago had a vagina.

I commiserated uneasily: "Let's go to a sports bar for pizza and beer." :?

"Who's playin'?" he asked. "You!" I joked, thinkin' he said "payin'".
"That was a real dream!" he mumbled with agitation. :x
"Who's on first?" I asked. "Who's playin'?" he asked.
