:bana: Pseudothumbs of lemurs reveal their evolutionary linkage to humans?

Re: https://www.foxnews.com/science/omen-of ... eudothumbs

"The newly published research notes that aye-ayes, native to Madagascar, have a tiny structure comprised of bone and cartilage. It also has muscles around it "that allows it to move in three directions - much the same way that human thumbs move" 8)

 "Who can tell?" that the thumb may be best evidence that humans are descended from lemurs - not apes:

"the law would make it a federal crime for 'any person to intentionally engage' in animal cruelty, including burning,
drowning, suffocating, impaling or otherwise injuring 'non-mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians'"

 On the surface, reduction of cruelty to non-mammals seems commendable, but ...
this broad law would affect shooting of birds for sport and "humanitarian" euthanasia of said animals by vets. :o

For example, said animals not rescued in a house fire would constitute cruelty by the homeowner,
obligating them (or even children in the family) to attempt rescue.

Also, chickens and turkeys are "birds" ...

"Motorists in southwest England will need to pay special attention when driving through Dorset County next week,
where officials are putting a 41-mile detour around a 65-foot stretch of construction work."

"The detour is estimated to take an hour to complete. The closed portion of the road
would take just over two seconds to travel at the 30 mph speed limit.

 A better idea would be to sub-title the road sign:
"You can't get there from here! ... this week."

Re: https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watc ... e-advances

"The bill, which would ban abortions in the state after a fetal heartbeat is detected, typically as early as six to eight weeks after conception"

 While abortion in general seems a good taboo, banning abortions for rape and incest ignores the fact that diseased DNA could be passed to the child. Over the centuries, mating by intelligent selection (and avoiding incest) has kept the general health of people from digressing. ;)

Bills such as these at least need to be complemented with testing to determine if any significant health problems would be present in the child. If present, then the child should be immediately granted taxpayer-funded medical care (since legislation mandates the birth).

 Seems to me ... humans have long enjoyed a "pootle sedately around the garden".
Automated "robotony" must be for the show and not inherent pleasure of gardening. ;)

"Prime editing offers a more stable approach because it makes very specific edits that involve breaking only one of the two strands of DNA and then making the changes right at the site of that cut. This means scientists no longer have to rely on a cell’s own DNA repair system to make the edits for them, drastically reducing the risk of unexpected or uncontrolled outcomes."

"Promising though the prime editing research has been so far, the team says there is much work to be done in the coming years,

"Polygamist couple say they're 'spiritually married' but encourage each other to have relationships with both sexes –

 Better take vitamins - there are more than two: https://dudeasks.com/how-many-genders-a ... e-in-2019/
and would make you a Genderbender (having relationships outside of your publicly-claimed gender corral ...
if that gender is not already a Genderbender). ;)

OMG :!: :!:
How many apples* would Eve have to eat to find her gender opposite today
(assuming that Eve was "female" by historical definition)?

identifies the genders you want to experience during your lifetime.

"When Florida issued a call for python hunters, applications came in from near and very, very far — Iran, for instance, where one man sees a chance to fulfill his childhood dream... The invasive species has run — slithered — rampant in the Everglades since the 1960s, as the exotic pets escaped or were released into the wild."

"In parts of the Everglades there has been more than a 90% decrease in small mammal populations: raccoons, possums, marsh rabbits, light tailed deer have all been casualties to the appetite of the python. Birds and gators have not been spared either."

Message from Melchizedek about the coming "tribulations" ...

"transition will not be smooth and even if part of the current population will have to leave the planet, the renewal can only be achieved with a receptive population and in accordance with the will of the Father and Christ Michael. This difficult period to come will be short-lived, but it will be intense and difficult for all"

 "Tribulations" may refer more to physical planetary changes (major earthquakes worldwide?).
Perhaps related, the "geomagnetic reversal", now in progress ...
