Re: https://newspunch.com/wef-says-its-time ... inclusion/

"The World Economic Forum (WEF) is now calling for people to have the right to marry animals in an effort to promote diversity and inclusion.
Spain is the first country to pass new legislation taking huge strides towards the initiative."

:duh The problem with this initiative, IMO, is that all critters then become candidates for "diversity and inclusion". And this reminds of the young man I once knew who had a pet snake that liked to hide in the sofa where visitors sat (probably why I remember this decades-old incident).
This man's obvious affection for his pet snake would suggest today that their marriage was a possibility. Who can tell?! At least, the symbolism seems to complement this initiative.

 I now recall joking "Does your snake like apples?" This friend-of-a-friend caught the insinuation
and retorted "She's not that kind of snake!" I recall leaving as the snake then slithered out.

"The couple ordered two bowls of the restaurant's signature rigatoni,
along with grilled bread and butter, chicory salad and a few glasses of Barbera wine."

"Getting the same thing as the person you’re eating dinner with is silly ...
The whole point of going out to eat is getting to try as many things as possible."

 Good example of internet commentary, not representative of all people,
but parroted by the media for its controversy.

 Most people would say that the point of going out to eat is to
enjoy your preferred meal along with conversation of friends and family.
Of course, some would say that the real point of going out to eat
is simply to not eat the same ol' stuff at home. ;)

 In addition to cell phone, Mace, etc., a mini fire extinguisher
seems important, considering how many batteries travel these days :!:

Airlines might next instruct on how to quickly snuff a battery fire.
Tip: A disposable smoke mask helps. ;)

 However, this etiquette doesn't address a TP roll on its side
(should flap be on the left or the right?).

:duh "Who gives a flap?! Sufficient TP is the only necessity." ;)
When in doubt, provide 4 rolls with their respective flaps ...
or install automated dispenser (even coin-operated).

"The song 'Zip-a-dee-doo-dah' originated in the 1946 film 'Song of the South' that has long been criticized
for stereotypes of 'spiritual' Black men and its seemingly nostalgic view of the antebellum South." :(

:study: The song's lyrics: https://www.songofthesouth.net/movie/ly ... o-dah.html

"Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah is without a doubt the most well-known song from Song of the South.
It won an Academy Award for best motion picture song. Sung by James Baskett (Uncle Remus),
this song is still very popular and well-known today." :roll

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech ... uracy.html
"AI turns people's thoughts into images with 80% accuracy" 8)

"The algorithm pulls information from parts of the brain involved in image perception, such as the occipital and temporal lobes, according to Yu Takagi, who led the research. The team used fMRI because it picks up blood flow changes in active brain areas ... fMRI can detect oxygen molecules, so the scanners can see where in the brain our neurons — brain nerve cells — work hardest (and draw most oxygen) while we have thoughts or emotions."

 Especially interesting about this is that visual memories don't usually have great clarity, but sufficient (like the AI-generated images), to retain the memory ... along with other brain-stored information (e.g., emotions, smells, sounds). And this reminds that thoughts are more complex than images captured from a brain. This research also hints that Remote Viewing taps into such information, but from great distances :!:

Re: https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/natio ... inflation/ (not a link)

"A second month of robust hiring could amplify fears that (U.S.) inflation is re-accelerating
after months in which it had appeared to be steadily easing."

:duh A Fed's rates (via-á-vis inflation) seems to ignore other factors causing inflation.

But I can't complain about the high price of ice cream which is helping reduce this Bad Boy
from my diet. And instead of an occasional six-pack, one can every 90 days is the limit
(unless it's free at local barbecues). ;)

Also, I keep lookin' for beer-flavored tea but have been told by a professional drinker
(at a local barbecue) that this is light beer. :o

crushing one country's economy only indirectly affects another country's,
a provider of now more costly products and services.

"LA Times Says White Drivers Polluting Air Breathed By People Of Color"

 It takes effort to skip political claims in this article (about an article)
and focus on possible solutions, solutions needing improvement. For example ...

The proposal that "low-income apartments get built in affluent neighborhoods
'to make it easier for low-income families to live closer to where they work'."

... assumes these families seek employment in affluent neighborhoods
and that these are service jobs like maids, lawn care, etc. :hithere

Then there's the problem that all races drive cars that pollute;
pollution that is carried wherever by changes in local climate -
not to mention mass transportation (and commerce) pollutes!

"Pioneer In Child Gender Dysphoria Treatment Says Trans Medical Industry Is Harming Kids"

"Dr. Susan Bradley, a Canadian psychiatrist and pioneer in child gender dysphoria treatment, came out against the popular model of affirming children’s transgender identities and putting them on puberty blockers — a practice she was once involved in"

"While most children who experienced gender dysphoria typically grew out of it and came to accept their bodies and gender prior to the widespread implementation of the 'gender affirmation' approach, numerous doctors expressed concerns that puberty blockers made children’s temporary gender confusion permanent by solidifying their sense of actually being the opposite sex"

"Mushroom expert, Tradd Cotter, says fungi could help clean East Palestine chemical spill —
and carve a new path for future toxic waste contamination"

" 'When the mushrooms get hungry, they start to snip apart the molecules of the contaminant,' he said. 'They basically sweat chemical scissors called enzymes, and they will resort to snipping these molecules apart into atoms and molecules they can use as a food source."

"According to Cotter, bacteria also play an essential role in the process. He compared the decontamination process to a party, where mushrooms would be the first to arrive while bacteria pull all-nighters. 'The mushrooms bring wine to the party,' Cotter said. 'They sense the chemical contamination dynamically' and 'can start to snip apart the molecules.' Then the mushrooms 'recruit the bacteria' and 'the bacteria are up all night partying,' he continued."

"And in case you think this is a wild conspiracy theory and it could never happen here, you should be aware that the elite are quietly and deceitfully making moves to centralize currency right now, in the United States, without any public discussion. "allegations came to light when a boy anonymously called into a podcast called the BlindSkinnedBeauty and accused Cohen of sexual assault on him and his brothers. Podcasters called police and they were able to trace the caller back to an IP address and eventually his cell phone. The 17-year-old anonymous caller turned out to be one of Cohen's sons. Police interviewed him and he said he's been abused by Cohen since he was a child. He also alleged that his other siblings have also been abused by Cohen."

 That all eight sons were abused is highly suspicious since all eight would have silently tolerated the abuse for years!
And the eldest claims that the accusation is false! Best guess: "anonymous" call suggests prank more than call for help. ;)
