"Stripe is paying employees $20,000 if they leave big cities — but they'll also get a (10%) pay cut."

 What a deal! ...
if the cost of living is less in the smaller cities (and smaller only means "not so big"). ;)

:idea: Actually, a hoverboard is a stable riding platform, especially when hardly moving;
it might be useful in moving from room to room but not so much when operating. ;)

Online sharing of controversial professional practice may be his greater error,

but those percentage points mean BIG dollar losses in fan support!

Not to worry :!:
Fans who still have money for sports entertainment will find ways to spend it. :finger:

"Gospel of ayahuasca: Hallucinogenic inspires legal religious movement"

"A 'church' in Winnipeg, Manitoba — the Centre for Universal Illumination Luz Divina — is the latest to be granted such status in a trend
of new-age organizations that use hallucinatory daime tea, also known as ayahuasca, for the purpose of spiritual ceremony"

 However, nutrition-minded souls might first see a caldron of tasty greens rather than ingredients for hallucinatory tea ...
especially since physical nutrition is oft more detectable (and longer lasting) than such "spiritual" nutrition".

and it has been wildly talked about that it is a big security risk as everything and everybody ...
we are talking about tens of millions of people worldwide, being recorded as we all use ZOOM." :o

 What's your name in Chinese? Mine is "Ho", given by a Chinese teacher decades ago.
(today, it might be considered "Information Ho" ; - )

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti ... HOMAS.html

"it cannot be ignored that many diseases, including cancer, are caused or contributed to by daily lifestyle choices made over several years and cannot simply be put down to genes or bad luck. Our susceptibility to disease is inherited from our parents, but numerous factors in the lives we choose to lead can damage our cells — including chemicals in the food and drink we consume and toxins such as pesticides and air pollutants." :(

"Or there’s the 65-year-old man who came to see me about 12 years ago after being referred with advanced prostate cancer. He’d undergone treatment five years earlier but the cancer had returned and by the time he saw me, he’d exhausted all medical avenues. The cancer was now resistant to treatment. Then aged 65, he had a life expectancy of three to six months – and the only option was to monitor his progress. His wife, however, had other ideas. Having read about the power of broccoli and a diet rich in phytochemicals, she fed him a bowl of broccoli and onion soup every day." :o

"To everyone’s joy and amazement, his tumour shrank consistently over the months and years that followed to the point at which it eventually disappeared. Now, sadly, his cancer has returned again — but he’s had ten years free from the disease with a very good quality of life and is currently managing well." 8)

 Tip: Simplest broccoli/onion dish: In a medium bowl, arrange rinsed broccoli pieces and top with chopped sweet onion.
Cover and microwave until al dente (about 4 min.). Drizzle on olive oil, sprinkle on garlic granules, then S&P if desired.
To upscale, next top with canned black beans and heat in the microwave 1 min. :roll

This might work when an AI robot also helps monitor the Tesla's automation.

:bana: Today's word study (re: https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/23/entertai ... index.html ) ...

Apparently, "bisexual" still refers to the sexual relations of a man or a woman with a heterosexual man or woman ...
but not with any other identity except "homosexual". If "bifurcate" is a related word, then a "bisexual" is multi-forked:

:hithere About the long-popular candy, called "licorice" ...

Re: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/too-m ... r-BB19mklv

"Eating as little as 2 ounces of black licorice a day for two weeks could cause a heart rhythm problem, especially for folks over 40"

"The problem is glycyrrhizic acid, found in black licorice and in many other foods and dietary supplements containing licorice root extract.
It can cause dangerously low potassium and imbalances in other minerals called electrolytes." :(

 Strangely, this article seems to inspire another taste after years of avoiding it. :o
However, this information well advises occasional "taste" - not daily servings. ;)
Of course, a "bag and a half" sounds like a wild animal's feast!

"New York CANCELS New Year's Eve:
World famous Times Square bash is canned for first time in 114 years amid COVID-19 fears -
with celebrations replaced by 'virtual event' on app" :o

:bana: Actually, for the great majority of Americans (and much of the world), the Times Square Bash was always virtual (seen on TV).
In fact, few viewers would probably notice if old video was replayed with only minor adaptations where necessary.

Seriously :!: The world would appreciate a bit of nostalgia from a less stressful time of celebration!
Even add another hour of viewing (plus appropriate advertising) ;) to blend/contrast 2019/2020 -
not a documentary of the year but entertainment focus on the two celebrations. 8)

 Actually, many more 'person caves' might exist now with so many people "working" at home. A flat screen TV, sofa, exercise equipment, small refrigerator, or whatever could be located in your temporary office space. And bathrooms are sometimes considered 'person caves' when others have to wait so long to use this office.

"when the pandemic hit - and vehicle traffic and noise slowed down - researchers found that noise levels in San Francisco and other urban parts of the Bay Area drastically reduced by nearly 50 percent. The shutdown, they write, effectively reversed 'more than a half-century rise in noise pollution.' "

"The birdsongs, as a result, began singing more quietly, hitting lower notes and improving their vocal performance. Elizabeth Derryberry, a behavioral ecologist at the University of Tennessee, told AFP that the birds 'sounded better, they sounded sexier' to mates." 8)
