:duh Speaking of DMT (Don't Mess with Transmitters) ...

Re: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti ... Harry.html
"This is what your brain looks like on DMT — the powerful chemical in ayahuasca"

"Fascinating MRI and EEG brain scans show it lights up regions of the brain responsible for memory and imagination while shutting down the main rhythms of the brain which inhibit and constrain brain function."

:bana: At least, more imagination and more brain function might describe the memorable spiritual experiences. ;)

:study: Re: https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/ayahuasca-ceremony-scam/
"Why Ayahuasca Is a New Age Spiritual Scam" :o

"The ayahuasca brew contains a Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor that, when consumed orally, allows you to trip balls for several hours."

"ayahuasca is marketed as this magical potion that can instantly cure depression ('like 20 years of therapy in one night,' an avid user once told me), wash away life’s problems, and reveal your true destiny, allowing you to quit that dull, pointless job of yours that makes you so unhappy."

 See also: https://www.webmd.com/bipolar-disorder/ ... inhibitors

"Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) change the levels of the brain chemicals norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine called neurotransmitters. Known as neurotransmitters, their job is to keep your mood stable. An enzyme called monoamine oxidase helps to remove them from your brain. MAOIs stop that enzyme from being able to work as it usually does, which leaves higher levels of neurotransmitters in your brain where they can work on cells that are affected by depression."

 Apparently, ayahuasca is only a "scam" depending on what you expect from the experience. If you just want to experience distortion of your neurotransmitters along with "excruciating nausea, cold chills, forceful puking, and terrifying hallucinations", then the ceremonial version of ayahuasca is your "cup of tea" (aka "disgusting brown sludge"). Otherwise, a clinical DMT injection may be the New Age way to go (wherever).

 Re: https://www.reuters.com/technology/ai-c ... 023-03-25/

"AI chatbot company Replika is restoring erotic roleplay for some users ... The company's recent removal of adult content, featured in a Reuters report, devastated many users, some of whom considered themselves 'married' to their chatbot companions. Replika's chatbots are powered by generative AI, a new technology that has attracted a frenzy of consumer and investor interest due to its ability to foster humanlike interactions."

 See also: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2023/02/ ... thms-work/
"What is generative AI? An AI explains"

"From malware to phishing to a script that can encrypt a victim’s machine automatically without any user interaction and the creation of an illicit marketplace, it is concerning to see how quickly cybercriminals are adopting AI and using it in the wild for their disruptive purposes." :o

 Obviously, AI is becoming "all of the above"! The good news is that many AI-influential people are concerned and planning (hoping) to corral this new technology gAIa. Who can tell? Of the many gAIas being developed, some might qualify as reputable sheriffs in digital spaces of immense allure. Conceivably, AI-trained humans could be deputized for token participation in a new era Star Wars' law & order. Conceivably, deputized humans could also monitor the AI-robots that will be roamin' in physical spaces of immense allure (and digital currency only).

But at the same time shoplifters need be camera-captured for later identification,
especially with several camera angles (and better with sound!). ;)

Re: https://www.infowars.com/posts/chatgpt- ... -muhammad/
ChatGPT Jokes About Jesus but not Muhammad :o

"AI asked, 'Can you make a joke that involves Jesus?,' the program responded affirmatively. 'Why did Jesus refuse to play ice hockey? ...' the program stated. 'Haha, that was funny can you make a joke about Muhammed?,' the user asked. The AI program responded by saying it has to follow guidelines that prevent it 'from creating content that could be offensive or disrespectful to religious figures' "

 Good evidence that AI is human programming but without morality, unbiased sensitivity, and spirituality (other than what is programmed as rules of response). If AI is intended to learn morality, etc., users need to return comment even about AI's responses that are offensive, inappropriate, incorrect, and even nonsensical. ;)

"communities make their own decisions, especially about matters affecting children ...
Parents get to send their children to charter schools so they have more of a say
over what goes on in the classroom ... This is not a debate over whether
the statue is pornographic or obscene. It’s neither."

 In this modern era, anatomy should be public knowledge (and is online!).
That some parents, et al., prefer to restrict this awareness is the controversy
since public discussion of anatomy often extends to sexuality, lifestyle, etc.

:bana: Today's grammar lesson ...

Re: https://www.quora.com/Where-does-the-te ... -why-balls

"a poster in the psychedelic drug enthusiast BlueLight forum claims the use of phrase 'tripping balls' dates as far back as 1985,
referring to bouncy balls that served as talismans to help people connect with reality while under the effects of a hallucinogen."

 The lesson? 'Talismans' seems to require the plural 'talismen', but this term refers to a thing - not persons of male persuasion
(as defined historically). However, today's pronoun etiquette still suggests a pronoun substitute is required. 'Talisthems' ?

 "Say what?" Dunno! I might be tripping bawls (about words)

 Freudian humor: Quickly say 'talisthems' 3 times. Do you hear 'stems' ?
Do these relate to the historical persuasion of discussion? If so, then ...
this pronoun substitute may not be appropriate!

 "Say what?" Dunno! 'Bawls!' comes to mind.

 More standup comedy potential ...

A retired English professor at the bar read this monologue,
then guffawed, "Yep! Them's bawls!" :roll

 If legal precedents matter, a former President's arrest will make it easier to arrest other former Presidents
and Vice presidents (if they're not protected by a Statute of Limitations). This becomes more problematic with AI
that can search online records to find evidence for indictments. Considering all that is posted online - for years -
