Re: https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/stou ... p-clothing

"Stouffer's, the frozen food brand, is debuting a merch shop featuring its own clothing"

"Stouffer’s — a brand synonymous with the frozen-food aisle of your grocery store — is debuting a line of apparel that includes sweatshirts, T-shirts, and even a fanny pack that will enable fans to display their (clearly) overzealous love for frozen lasagna or macaroni and cheese."

 Of course, long-term fans of Stouffer's mac 'n cheese may not need the fanny pack.
Even the Stouffer's name now seems to associate with "gourmand".

:!: :!: Entrepreneur Alert
If you're fond of food (and it shows), why not advertise how you achieved your size?!
Maybe food purveyors would at least offer discount coupons for more product. :finger:
Caution: Two donuts on a T-shirt may advertise a different product! ;)

The upside is herd immunity being promoted via increasing infections

"IHOP will close nearly 100 restaurants in the next six months"

"Indoor dining restrictions might be making it harder for pancakes to sell like hotcakes during the pandemic."

 Since pancakes and sausages on sticks (good for dippin') and eggy muffins might be popular
(with IHOPpers* delivering meals-to-go to cars), some of these iconic restaurants might survive. :finger:

* Bunny costumes suggest a different service, but other creatures/critters hop. ;)
Ima Hopper could be the mascot ... with giveaway buttons, decals, T-shirts, etc.

The marketing differentiation is that Ima Hopper refers to a streamlined meal-to-go service
where customer places order by phone and pre-pays (transaction completed when order received
by customer in waiting vehicle). The "I'm a fast mover!" insinuation is a marketing plus!

"While it's easy to clean the small space quickly, Stephens also noted that the space can get dirty even faster,
especially because their dog sheds so much."

 One would think that "tiny house" calls for "tiny dog" ... or even "virtual dog" ;)
since there's no room for de Roomba to de-shed de main room. :(

"The Halloween decorations include a bloody walkway, with multiple dummies laying facedown on the ground; one of which has a chainsaw to its back and another had its head smashed by a safe. There was also a dummy laying off the front end of the roof with a machete to its skull and a tipped over wheelbarrow with plastic bags of fake dismembered body parts."

 Seems to me, Hispanic celebration of Day of the Dead is more respectful of the dead.
This increasingly (?) popular Halloween celebration just glorifies passage into deaddom. :duh

 Maybe salient perspective is that a vote is cast for representation in the future - not against the past
... and a voter needs to be present to benefit from that future representation.

On the other hand, a parent effectively casts a vote for their underage child
... but not necessarily the vote the child would prefer. ;)

for graveyard shift workers ... and ghost cookies were for the lucky stiffs
who were sleeping since they did not have to work the graveyard shift ...
so these lighter cookies were also consumed on the graveyard shift. :roll

:bana: New definitions (from the virtual graveyard) ...
Graveyard Gravy - any perceived benefit of working the graveyard shift.
Graveyard Gray - negative aging benefit of working the graveyard shift.
Graveyard G - low-speed cellular network used by graveyard residents.

"Montana judge changes racist name of 'Lost Coon Lake' to 'Lost Loon Lake' "

 "Loon" seems to describe this judicial action since it's impossible to believe
that - in Montana, especially! - that "Coon" did not refer to "raccoon". :o
However, "raccoon" is indeed NOT the allusion ...

Re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Coon_Lake

"The name allegedly came about from the fact that an African American woman named Mrs. Randals
ran a rooming house for lumberjacks near the lake. the name was not accurate, as many later claimed
that Mrs. Randals was of Spanish descent." :o

:bana: Obviously, it's long past time to rename the lake :!:
So, let's celebrate and have a slice of Lost Loon Cake!

:study: Re: https://www.fox5ny.com/news/poll-people ... strictions

"After months of steady progress, new confirmed cases of COVID-19 climbed to near record levels in the U.S. this week. Experts blame a nation that’s become complacent, and a new poll finds evidence to back them up: Support for measures to slow the virus’ spread has declined from the early days of the coronavirus pandemic." :(

 Interestingly, being tired of the coronavirus is like ...
- being tired of performing artificial respiration to rescue someone,
- being tired of bailing out a boat that is slowly sinking.
- being tired of taking medication after a heart attack.

Obviously, the alternative is bit less tiring (until you depart
... but no one has reported back from the other side) ;)

"A couple got married at the Dunkin' drive-thru where they met"

"As the general manager of a Dunkin' in Oklahoma City, Sugar Good is used to seeing hundreds of new faces a day. But there was one face in particular she just couldn't get out of her head. His name was John Thompson, and she memorized the time he would visit every morning, the details of his order -- a large hot coffee with cream and sugar and a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. But most of all, she memorized his smile." :)

"The 'dose' of coronavirus a person gets may determine how sick they get"

"It's not because you need a certain number of particles of virus to infect a cell -- it just increases the odds that one of those viral particles will make it into the cell and infect it, setting off the chain reaction. Another way to think of it is like conception: You don't need millions of sperm to fertilize an egg -- you only need one -- but men make millions of sperm to improve the chances that one will reach the egg, overcome its defenses and fertilize it."

 Who knew :?: :!:
"Overcome its defenses" means that the egg wants to be really wanted by a lil' swimmer. However, not all of the comparison applies, since a sneeze is not like (the other activity). Also, virus particles have many more cells than one egg to seduce.

"I am a white woman of privilege and a single mother. How do I stop my sister-in-law telling me why I have it so good?"

"Your sister-in-law has been renting space in your head for free, and I support your effort to put an end to it. People bring their own hang-ups to family gatherings. Happy people don’t feel the need to put other people down in order to make themselves feel or look better."

 Probably more to this story than the sister-in-law put downs,
but "renting space in your head" is good perspective about dwelling on continual criticism. ;)

"unless KFC has changed the log’s original recipe, heed Allison’s words of warning from last year:
'If you want your fire to smell like fried chicken, then buy a bucket of fried chicken and throw it in the pit.' "

 Why not warm the chicken in your oven (for house aroma), then eat it (for chicken breath)!

However, "scratch 'n sniff" napkins with KFC logo would be a better concept ... even if free :!:
Be sure to wipe your face and hands! Some families might prefer a designated chicken wafter
(person who will be the mobile chicken aroma). And "chicken dog" might be popular ...
but would be confused with chicken hot dogs. :?
