Can a book about an abusive childhood be a spiritual book? I certainly think so, especially when its all about HOW this dear girl dragged herself back to sanity, since it seems not many folks were much help to her.
This is a really amazing book, all about the condition MBP - Munchausen by proxy - or how her mother tries to make her ill. I would sure hope there are not many cases of this, because the kids don't stand a chance. It would not surprise me if her angels played a big part here, because key to her emotional recovery is living in a house filled with mirrors, so she is forced to correct her false self image.
