Heaven is for Real: A litle boys astounding story

Post by Geoff »

By Todd Burpo.

Very readable, and very credible. Of course the young boy is a son of a pastor. Still it is credible, if challenging. I don't doubt he "saw" Jesus, along with his grandfather and his unknown sister. The picture of the Master included in the book, and reproduced here is eerily compelling and looks about right to me, someone who has found a lot of those. The picture is the subject of yet another book, that I plan to read soon: Prince of Peace by Akiane Kramarik:

The only challenge with this book, is how the young boy appears to confirm his father's belief in the atonement, which of course is without any value. Not sure why that happens, maybe its the "churches" thing, where its felt to challenge the father is not "right". One gets a clue to that very point, because many of the "characters" he meets have wings, according to the young boy. And we also know that's nonsense.
