Man's Eternal Quest: Paramahansa Yogananda

Post by blue nova »

Good morning family,

I believe this has been one of the most enlightening books I have read so far.

Here's some food for the soul.....
Meditation is simply reminding yourself again and again that you are not the limited physical body, but the Infinite Spirit. Meditation is arousing the memory of your real Self and forgetting what you imagine you are.
....Someday that realization will come to you, and you will no longer think you are a mortal, a man or woman; you will know that you are a soul, made in the divine image, "and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you".

Dear Anne,

I am finally reading The AutoBiography of a Yogi. And its really great. Not sure why the book escaped me for so long, but it was literally placed in my hands by a friend.

love,
Geoff.

Yeahh Anne, I'm intrigued, but cannot buy the book (unless I find a copy in the new place and in English, very doubtful!)

But, someOne's gonna send it to me just as soon as I open a post office box!
Can't wait to get it.

I tried to read the Bhagavad Gita once! I took it out of the library 4 times and still only got less than a quarter way through it. I fell in love with the beautiful drawings and rich colours. The stories were very exciting too and moving!

I assume you can get these books in the book store?

I must go have a peek this weekend and price them.

i have never held a copy...i have seen a few pics of it online...they look beautiful :D

i have a copy of the Bhagavad Gita: God talks with Arjuna, written by Paramahansa. the Royal Science of God-Realization: The immortal dialogue between soul and Spirit, A new translation and commentary.

it is Paramahansa's translation of the Bhagavad Gita.

the 'The Second Coming of Christ' is his translation of Jesus' teachings.
