Hi Sandy,
Thank you for the update on George.
You are always both in my thoughts but I don't like to be a menace and keep asking all the time.

Hope you are both keeping safe there.
Melbourne is going through a rough patch at the moment.

Dear friends thank you all for the ongoing support in prayer, healing and encouragement. It has been a rough week but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
After George's last outpatient surgery for some reason, he lost his breath and could barely walk from the bedroom to the bathroom. So after a trip to the emergency room we have been treating a suspected clot in his lungs. For days there was little progress but finally he is feeling better with renewed appetite and energy. His breath is coming easier and today he feels like doing a bit of work.

I am so grateful and I thank the Creator of All, the Celestials, the Angels and Midwayers, and lastly but not "leastly", all of you who keep us in your prayers. It means a lot to us and makes a huge difference.

Shane, you are never a menace. I'll make a deal...you put up with me pestering you about how you guys are doing during the covid epidemic down there and I will embrace you asking as often as you wish about George. :) :love
I am just grateful for your caring friendship. :)

Ruth, I am thrilled to hear you can come home for a few weeks. :bana: :sunflower: I know surgeries aren't fun but hopefully this next will be soon behind you and recovery can begin. We keep you close to our heart in thought and in our prayers.
Thank you for remembering George despite your own health battle. (((((((HUGS)))))))

Love to all of you,
Sandy

Thank you Ruth and all who have been praying for George. He has some better days and some not so good days. His breath has been rather short the past week or two. I am wondering if his blood is being oxygenated enough. He is border line anaemic from April and May's nose bleeds and surgery's blood loss. So I think this will improve in time. I am not a doctor, though, and so I look forward to our doctor appointment next week where hopefully some of these concerns and questions can be answered.

Thank you all for keeping us close in your hearts.

love,
Sandy

Hello you guys,

George had a very rough week. His breath was coming a little rough and getting worse as was his fatigue and ability to move around confidently. But somehow we made it to his specialist Doctor appointment in Wollongong on Thursday. The doctor took one look at him and then the results of his blood test and said unequivocally, "You need to go to the emergency room."

He has been loosing blood they suspect most likely from the stent put in over a month ago. But will be doing a cat scan to know for sure. Since Thursday they have been trying to build his haemoglobin level that was around 70. He has had about 4 blood transfusions. ( I feel the need to donate blood now. As this has driven home the great need. )

George had a rough day yesterday but today is feeling better more upbeat. His energy is very low, though and he is very weak and loosing weight. I so appreciate the healing prayers prayers. Thank you dear friends.

With Love,
Sandy

Hi Sandy
Sorry it's been such a rough week for G..
I sure hope they get the stent fixed and he can start to get healthy again. I know that senario with the blood numbers is a very slow process but we have seen our neighbour slowly make progress. So I truly know it will get better for George. It's such a slow and rough process
Sending prayers and loving thoughts and I know we wish we could be there for you. Our thoughts prayers and meeting up in meditation will carry us through. Much love to you both xoxo

Hello everybody,
Thank you for the support and the prayers. George came home yesterday evening. He was exhausted but sooooo glad to be home. In fact he has perked up considerably. He is resting as I type, driving home to me that he may seem better but he still has a battle on his hands. One I intend for us to win. I can't stand to think about it any other way.

Please keep him in your prayers. Love you guys and thank you more then I can express.

Well, it seems despite our best efforts we may be designed to loose this battle. Trying to trust that God has a perfect plan for all of us and that maybe even in loosing we are winning... But I had better explain what all that gibberish is all about.

George has cancer... prostate cancer and it was discovered late after it had metastasised and spread into the bones. A few days ago we found out that it had now spread into the bone marrow and will now be hard if not impossible to stop without divine interference. Perhaps, if George were younger and healthier...But he has several other major health problems piling up all at the same time. He became slightly anaemic last May after a month of severe nose bleeds, and, as well, those pesky stones are still interfering a bit with his kidney function. The cancer makes it hard for George to eat as it is producing nauseousness. As you can imagine it is a struggle and he needs prayers and healing God willing. I am asking for renewed prayers for healing. Please pray for his healing, and for peace, comfort and guidance at this very difficult time.

Thank you and I am sorry I do not have better news.
Love,
Sandy

Sandy,

We would prefer that leaders have an easier transition to the next life, but leading through darkness may be how leaders are rewarded with new opportunities for continuing spiritual growth ... and more leadership. This video about the Bermuda Triangle shares important symbolism how darkness is simply the tunnel to the greater light ahead:

Thank You everybody,
George and I so appreciate each of you and your prayers and those great websites, Rod! I've bookmarked them and hope they give me lots of ammunition when nausea sets in.
George is very tired. I suspect his haemoglobin is down again. He sees a doctor at the house on Friday so maybe we will know more then,

How are you Ruth? You are in my prayers. I am so sorry you have had such a rough time of it.
Well I am getting off. I am so tired.
But Geoff is coming for a visit tomorrow! :bana: :sunflower:

Good night and love,
Sandy

Guys,

I am sorry to be the bearer of very sad news.

The news is not good, and will not get better. I went to see Sandy and George Wednesday, and on Friday two doctors paid him a visit and I spoke with Sandy today. George is extremely weak, and spending most of his time asleep. Prayers are need for an easy passing and support for Sandy in a very tough time. I will be keeping a close eye on things and expect to be down there with Sandy in the next short while.

hugs
Geoff

Thanks for the difficult update, Geoff

George's "Let them run their own race" now suggests that George
will just be a bit more yonder during the many races he helped to start.

Best wishes to you, Sandy, and others tasked with an inevitable transition.

Rod
