Please pray for a peaceful resolution to today's hostage situation In Sydney. If you haven't heard, an armed gunman has taken a number of people (Possibly 50 people) hostage in a Lindt chocolate shop/café in Martins Place within the city of Sydney.

Geoff, I know Sydney is a big city and chances are you and all you love are safe, but we say a little prayer anyway for your continued safety and well being.
Love,
Sandy

Been closely watching events unfold - in shock and disbelief. Prayers for the victims and those involved. They were so brave - the hostages, the Police - they handled it incredibly well given the situation. I'm amazed they saved so many.

Love to you Sandy, George, Geoff - this must shake Australia to the core!! :loves :love Anya xxx

Yes its a very sad day in Sydney. Its sad too that this fellow is known to police, was out on bail and is a criminal. We have been subject to new bail laws this last few months, not sure if this is result of that. I am sure it will be looked at. I think this is not a terrorist, but instead an evil fellow who happens to be a muslim, and perhaps thought this would save his soul. Geez will he get a wakeup.

hugs
Geoff

This event is long finished, and finished with the death of two innocents, and one deranged troublemaker. But just yesterday the police managed to arrest two young boys intent on the same madness. Caught because someone was suspicious and called police.
