Working With Soil, Attending To Soul — by Gunilla Norris

This is a lovely little article (with a streamed reading available). It doesn't need more of an introduction than the title. KNOK Working With Soil, Attending To Soul — by Gunilla Norris http://www.awakin.org/read/audio.php?op=play&tid=1033 http://www.theoreticsinstitute.org/pics/Love.png Welles

Re: Have you had your "The-Universe-Is-Awesome" moment today

And since the closest HII region to our sun is the Orion Nebula, some 1,300 light years away, it is my deduction that that is where Edentia is located. Hi Robert, Those links were excellent and your speculation on Edentia's location is a fascinating one. Please keep at it. I'll sit in the bleachers...

Have you had your "The-Universe-Is-Awesome" moment today?

After 20 years the Hubble telescope has revisited the famous pillars, capturing the multi-coloured glow of gas clouds, wispy tendrils of dark cosmic dust, and the rust-coloured elephants’ trunks with the newer Wide Field Camera 3, installed in 2009. The visible-light image builds on one of the most...

A Letter from Your 14-Year Old Self — a video

I watched this video and by the end had tears in my eyes and a huge grin. "When was the last time you received a hand-written letter? For students of Mr. Farrer, it was a letter that they had written to their future selves 20 years ago, full of their young hopes and dreams as well as memories ...

Moment of Love — by Frederick Burks (I think)

It doesn't seem as though this little bit of writing is particularly special. I'm not sure why but my heart stopped me and opened because of it. That's pretty wonderful. Moment of Love — by Frederick Burks (I think) http://www.momentoflove.org http://www.theoreticsinstitute.org/pics/Love.png Welles

Not Resisting Resistance — by Peter Russell

For most of my spiritual growth I've had two constant goals. Actually one is the result of the other or vice-versa. Quiet the mind. Open the heart. As you begin to achieve those they become flip sides of the same coin. In that context I found Peter Russell's little essay compelling. This is a short...

Re: Transhumanism: The Downfall of Humanity?

Transhumanism isn't alarming so much as pathetic. It's the last gasp to create a material God by people who jam all their energy into their minds in an attempt to escape the mass of insecurities in which they really live. I wanna freeze my head and come back 100 years from now. Bwahahaha. I'll rule...

Recently when people have asked me to describe how the UB came into being I refused to answer but provide these two links. Between the two there is a reasonable origin story, ...

Hi Sandy,

That was one of the limitations of Ithaca Hours. In fact that is a limiation of all local currencies. The upside is that because you aren't using debt based money you have greater spending power.

“15 Laws of Life” — Swami Vivekananda

"Swami Vivekananda (1863 – 1902) was one of India’s most prolific spiritual leaders. Dubbed “the one who awakened India”, the one who “saved Hinduism, saved India” and “the maker of modern India”, his life was a testament to the power that one awakened individual can have. An influence on ever...

Nohing new under the sun....

I recently purchased and started studying Jon Rappoport's massive data dump entitled  The Matrix Revealed . I'll just say that for me it was worth every penny. Anyway in one of the PDF interview transcripts was a brief mention of Ithaca Hours. I'd never heard about it before. It has dwindled in use...

Hey Eric, I reformatted the PNG so it is under the size limit and still transparent. The first time I'd just used PNG-24 which is my usual habit. After seeing that the Avatar File size was 10.23K I resaved it as a PNG-8 with 256 colors and transparency with a matte color that was the darker shade o...

I live in the central coast of California. We've been beset with a drought for several years. In the last few weeks we've had good old fashioned storms that give us hope that the drought may be ameliorated this year. We've already had more rain than all of last year and this is normally the beginni...
