Re: Just to say Hi All...

Hi Farstar,

I was reading "A Course in Miracles" at one point too, until I got distracted by all the other books in my collection. :roll

Phasing out of Form

Ageless oceans, ageless night, Whirling from the depths unseen. I saw you struggle to be, A moment of liberty. I see your essence – full of stars – Energy of the moonlit air. Too bad you long to be erased, I could watch you from anywhere. Timeless morning, timeless sea, Drawn down by the unbound daw...

Re: Commonality between 11ers?

Moral law is progressive, and sin is not as simple as breaking human law or its more perfect form. It is far closer to one intending to be immoral. From the cosmic perspective (or from the perspective of the spiritual government), it is rejecting the values of God, which the universe supports. To re...

Re: Send For Foreign Soil

I developed my skill in poetry through a college course, though it actually had more to do with interpreting poetry. Rhyming poems usually rhyme with the last syllable of each line, so it is important to figure out this rhyming pattern. I will show you different rhyming patterns, though these are no...

Re: Send For Foreign Soil

It's kind of like writing code, but easier. Follow these steps: Decide what you want your poem to be about. Decide if you want it to rhyme or not. If so, decide what rhyming pattern you want (abab, aabb, abcabc, aaaa, abba, abacada, etc). Decide if you want a certain rhythm/meter in your poem (the n...

I would just let God or my seraphic guardians handle such matters. A minor astral creation of man is not something to worry about. Such manifestations of energy are severely limited in scope and power. You just have to possess a strong will and use it the right way. Understanding one's relationship ...

Re: Commonality between 11ers?

It depends on how you define sin. There are many ways of looking at sin, but from the universe philosophic viewpoint sin is the attitude of a personality who is knowingly resisting cosmic reality. Error might be regarded as a misconception or distortion of reality. Evil is a partial realization of, ...

Re: Send For Foreign Soil

The last two poems were simply things I wanted to make. The first one may find its place in my writing (perhaps part 5), but the second does not really fit as Yggdrasil comes from Norse mythology. The first came bursting out of my head as the first two stanzas almost wrote themselves when I was away...

Number of lines in each stanza alternates between 3 and 4. The strange meter goes 558 4444 666 4444. If the syllables from each stanza are all added, it alternates between 18 and 16.

Oh tree of knowledge, Oh tree of ages, Oh Yggdrasil of worldy spoil. See that the point Which sports in vain Becomes not me In finite frame. Oh great tree of cleft branch, Oh trite giant of split prong, Oh Yggdrasil of fault. Bear not my frame Nor my true name, For your held stars Are inept sons. Oh...

Re: Commonality between 11ers?

I doubt many are going to answer every question on this list, but I can do a few of them. "Are you happy?" My long-term outlook is positive. My short-term mood relates directly to the present, the recent past or the near-future. I might be happy on average, but I cannot say for sure. "...

Re: The Evitable and Inevitable

It was mentioned somewhere in the Urantia Book that omnipotence is not the power to do anything (as the power to do the impossible does not exist, like square circles). I was thinking it was more like the power to actualize all potentials. Perhaps the qualities of God are more like the following: Om...

Hi Rod, your English is fine. I'm feeling really sleepy, so I'll make this quick. There isn't a whole lot I can really say about your experiences or what they could mean. Genuine number prompts are not directly related to the spaceships of extraterrestrial tourists or any other lights in the sky. Th...

Welcome ana1217, :hithere The ascension career basically entails our spiritual progress from one world to another. It can be as long as one's path to Adjuster fusion, the journey to true spirit-status, the process of reaching Paradise or the receiving of finaliter status. In its shorter form, it is ...

Re: A new song shall be composed

It may also be important to note that while mercy is able to stall justice (in order to give beings time to repent among other things), an infinite amount of mercy prevents progression in the universe. If mercy is forever granted to evil, and the iniquitous ones know this, then there is no great rea...

These two paragraphs also help answer your question, and pretty much sum up what I have already written. (615.4) 54:3.2 Although conscious and wholehearted identification with evil (sin) is the equivalent of nonexistence (annihilation), there must always intervene between the time of such personal i...

Re: A new song shall be composed

Hello Yvonne, I sense the old annihilationism vs universal reconciliation debate, while the truth is somewhere in the middle. The thing is, when a being reaches a point of spiritual death, it becomes impossible to do the will of God. This has different contexts when discussing the positions of diffe...

Hi Kelly, welcome to the site! It's great that your grandad gave you a final goodbye, I'm sure he is doing great right now. Number prompts act as a general spiritual wake up call, so one's religious affiliations do not matter. It is the intentions of the individual that are most important. Feel free...

Re: The Mastery of Moral Law

How does this translate into making moral decisions? One must retain pure intentions, manifest will wisely and observe the consequences of actions. Analyzing your intentions keeps you making decisions for the right reasons. The execution of action must be planned out. And as the effects of action un...

The Mastery of Moral Law

After discussing morals, law, war and peace, I was able to create the following three lines about three aspects of morality (or law in general): Intention is the spirit of law. Enforcement is the substance of law. Consequence is the stroke of law. Without intention, we are frivolous. Without enforce...
