I've read several of his books. I especially like his audiotapes because his voice alone has such inspiring and motivating qualities to it, and humor. I recall best the story of how he motivated himself and kept going, carrying a box of copies of his first book around in his car, selling them wherev...

Re: The Alchemist

How does Paulo Coelho know Melkizadek is an angel? It's these sort of snippets make me wish I could know more about the guy. I know that feeling. Occasionally, I come across something such as that. An author gives a little hint suggesting that they are Urantia Book readers or have an open channel t...

I have the Gershom Sholem book in my library, read it decades ago when I was first studying Kabbalah.

The Tree of Life was an important tool for me when I was chasing the Light, and is my all-time favorite Tarot spread.

However, I don't think I'd have much to contribute to a discussion group.

Thanks, George, for explaining the "churches" versus "progress" business.

Politics... can't escape it, can we?

I enjoyed and benefited from reading A Course in Miracles, but even more helpful than that were some audiotapes of excerpts the author had made. Right now, I can't recall the titles of the tapes, but one that concentrated on "homecoming", returning to the Creator, I played over and over du...

Barb, That's a wonderful gift. I can't think of anything that would be better to give to someone who is willing to read it. Four Urantia Books have passed through my hands since I read the first one. It would have been many more if I had more money. Someone would want to "borrow" it, and t...

The U.B has cleared soo very many cobwebs like superstitions and wrong beliefs out of my head, it is just incredible. I was at my wits end when 'IT' walked into my life and has been my steady companion ever since. It has made a huge difference in my life, to get all the questions answered which kep...

You don't have to apologize to me. I do not take offense to what others think or say. People who get upset over others ideals are the ones who have the problem. I believe that we are the ones in control of our own feelings and emotions and if we get upset then we allowed ourselves to get upset. The...

Women on your world have long suffered from inferior status and imbalances in power. This situation must be rectified; just as the circu...

What God Wants by Neale Donald Walsch

We don't often get the latest books when they are new. Usually, soon after the public library gets them, my husband checks out the ones that look good or that are written by authors he respects. Not having as much access to the libraries as he does, I don't see as many new books. He has been reading...
