Re: World Views

I was replying to your comment that, "humans arent supposed to be animals." Supposed to be and the reality are two different things. Interestingly we allow sport in the name of conservation. How often is it out of pride or profit? I think you are saying sometimes animals show more understanding than...

Re: World Views

Hi Rod, I suppose it is all necessity. Going to war, killing for favor, establishing dominance, even killing young- wild and domestic animals do this. Yes, humans are included. To deny our animal heritage is absurd. Yet it is true, we are more than animals. We are more than angels. Even the angels b...

Re: World Views

Rod,
I have two dogs who have made a sport out of chasing and killing squirrels with no intent on eating them. Animals, including humans, fight, kill and show off and it isn't always founded on "necessity."

Re: Wisdom from a Sufi

Thank you Welles. I am so glad you relish in the wisdom too. Hazrat Inayat Khan is someone I've only discovered after hearing the word Sufi in a dream. Though I am not the greatest student, I know without a doubt he is my teacher. Peculiar that I do not get to see him in the living flesh... But Inay...

Wisdom from a Sufi

"The spiritual path is easiest if there is not something pulling one from behind; and that force is the life in the world, one's friends, surroundings, acquaintances, and one's foes. Remain, therefore, in the world as a traveler making a station on his way. Do all the good you can to serve and succo...

Thank you Both. I also meant to say worth fighting for* but I guess changing is also a correct term? Heck, it's really myself I am doing this for... Re: The Connection is Always Open

Thanks, sometimes I get carried away with these self realizing moments and don't mean to come riding in on any high horse. There are sayings that better express what I was trying to share, How long will you keep pounding on an open door begging for someone to open it? Rabi'a al-'Adawiyya You d...

The Connection is Always Open

Today after a day or two of feeling depressed I received a 333, 444, 555 and 777. I have a picture of two white vehicles parked side by side- 333 and 555 being the repeating numbers on the plates. Yesterday, just before the assurances, I realized(finally?) that when we pray to God it is no different...

Re: A Continuous Circle of Light

I'd like to ask for continued prayers in healing this family with its addictive personality trait. We're getting better, I try to quit certain behavior but am often invited to partake. Fortunately there's a Woman in my life worth changing for. I hope the same for us all. I think it's on the way, I'd...

hey Anony! Welcome back. Hooray! You're going to Korea, I think this will be a fun trip for you. Sometimes a little break is all you need to refresh your perspective on things. Are you practicing meditation or taking the time to be still? You have many more amazing and exciting times ahead. Try to m...

Hey Jason, I hope you're doing better today. LN was a whirlwind of post. I agree with Sandy... Gurunath often says, "Self peace for world peace." Did you happen to catch todays celestial message? The timing seemed pretty relevant. Lately I am feeling blessed to live in this nation. The beauty that I...

I'm no psychic but my gut feeling is a gentle and comforting vibe. It's a really nice photo, the sun with the smoke interplay is awesome. The food looks great and it also looks like your mind might be somewhere else, maybe some heavy feelings or thinking on a loved one? Or maybe some far reaching th...

Re: Stepping Over The Bag Of Gold — by Rachel Naomi Remen

Dear Welles, So true and what a wonderful story it is. I recently confronted someone with a bit of a poor reputation and realized it was outside of my capacity to help him. As awkward as it was, dangerous as it could have been- I was safe. I couldn't tell if this person was conducting a social exper...

Immersive Faith by Uteah

Beautiful excerpt. I think Uteah is helping us understand how Christ experienced Faith and looping us back to the vital understanding. “When you think about what other things in your reality surround you invisibly, you might think about the omnipresence of the Creator as being ‘everywhere’ and this ...

Re: What do angels look like?

Probably, from the rational and limited mind we try to piece together form to understand the unknown- perhaps these far reaching constructs are the closest interpretations one is currently able to perceive, that doesn't mean we can't see something new... or... ? my interpretations vary and i've even...
