Because if there are 34 3-digit repetitions on the clock daily, like another poster said, then taking into account the number of times per day that people check the clock, seeing any one of these rep...

That is interesting especially when you break down the probability. So in any given day you have 34 chances in the exact minute of the day to catch a prompt in which there are 1,440 minutes in a day so if you looked at the clock every minute of the day you would only see a triple digit number 2.36%...
